![]() Gumbet – Popular Excursions
While there’s plenty to see and do in Gumbet itself you should take time while on holiday here to explore some of the many fantastic places in the Aegean Coast region of Turkey. It’s simply full of ancient cities, beautiful scenery, and plenty of culture, and there are numerous ways in which to experience it.
Excursions on the Water
With such a beautiful coastline just waiting to be explored one of the most popular excursions from Gumbet is out on the water and there are many ways you can get to enjoy it. The gentle breezes experienced in the bay are just perfect for enjoying water sports, especially wind surfing and sailing though if you’d rather sit back and let someone else do all the hard work why not go on a boat trip?
As the bay is shallow around Gumbet it’s perfect for safe swimming and water sports, but not so great for larger boats! This isn’t a problem with Bodrum just around the corner where you can make use of the large harbour and marina, and choose from many different boat tours.
A boat tour around this part of the Aegean is one of the top things to do while on holiday in Gumbet, and there are different tours to suit different tastes. Make sure you check out where the different operators go to – examples include trips to quiet and secluded bays where you can dive off the boat and swim to shore. Some trips take in historical attractions, while others let you take in all the breathtaking scenery that’s so abundant around Gumbet. Boat tours to Camel Beach are particularly popular with families!
Don’t just expect local tours though. If you’d like a really full day out while on holiday in Gumbet you can take a ferry or hydrofoil to the nearby Greek islands of Kos and Rhodes, allowing you to explore not one, but two countries!
Historical Attractions
