Had a disc removed 18 months ago and got all the usual 6 weeks recovery and stuff!!!!!!!! Same day I had it done I was up and about and home the day after then took the kids away for a week in a caravan 6 days after that. Know yours must be worse with 20 week recovery but it's the best thing I ever did! Good luck and will be watching for your progress reports. Keep positive

Hi Steve,
I read in a book somewhere the best thing for a bad back is an ice cold Efes or five, and
Icmeler sunshine.
My family and I are going out for 2 weeks in August from the 4th, if our paths cross I will buy you a beer, purely medicinal you understand!!
Good luck mate.
