Just my own thoughts on this but why would you book somewhere that you have read bad reviews about and then ask afterwards for good reviews

If I saw a bad review about a fishing rod or car or motorbike, I would not go out and buy one of the said items

As I said my thoughts

My daughter booked it ,then I read reviews! Just asked to see if any of the members have stayed there and what they thought as sometimes bad reviews can just be people who are never happy after all I thought that was what forums were for !

Of course correct

I was just trying to get a bit of insight.

Mirage looked nice last year but it was the facade that changed

As it was locked with a UK holiday company and no other agencies could sell it, I don't think you would find many reviews on this type of forum

The problem with review sites is people can't be bothered to write a review when they have had a good time but when something isn't right a review is the first thing they do.

You need to read between the lines.

We have booked a quick week in June, we are actually going AI for a week for the first time due to the fact it was good value for money and we needed a hotel with a lift for my mother, We have no intention of eating in at night as we love the different restaurants, looking at the reviews they appear to be quite negative from a first glance score point of view however when reading between the lines most issues are regarding the food in the evening which won't apply to us.

203 people have written reviews 45% have been positive, 30% Neutral and 25% Negative but when you think there have been 1000's of guests there in that time period most people must have been happy as they didn't jump onto trip advisor and slate the hotel.

I am sure you will have a great holiday - and dskbbs is spot on. Reviews are a useful tool as long as you do read between the lines - and for the record, I always leave an honest review whether it is good or bad. You learn to spot the dodgy ones fairly quickly - but the problem is that people's expectations can be so different. One person could stay in a particular hotel and love it - while the person in the next room might be disappointed that it didn't meet their particular standards.

We stayed there as A Inc a couple of years ago, and the Dutch 90% occupancy of the hotel really made us uncomfortable - drinking from early hours, even making fun and taking photos of one lady of a large size, then showing all around the pool to their countrymen and women.

Luckily, we go out and about so not too badly affected, but the lady in question had some mobility problems so was stuck with their terrible humour and cat calling.

Looked to have visibly improved last year with the new front facade, but no idea on occupants - the boomy disco had stopped though, it had just played seriously loudly to four bar men and one female till operator. Wouldn't stay there again personally, Icmeler has far better places.
