Hi Frank,
My wife and I visited Pamukkale last September and it is a fascinating place because there can't be anywhere like it on the planet as you can see from the photos on
ICR excursions. We did the 2 day tour which took in the ancient site of Ephesus which is the largest Roman archaeological site outside of Rome itself. The round trip is about 600 km so visiting both sites reduces the travelling somewhat should you fancy seeing Ephesus sometime.
The coach stopped at a restaurant on the way to Ephesus for a good breakfast (inc in price) and after visiting Ephesus we traveled to Pamukkale where we stayed at typical Turkish hotel, basic but very clean (inc in price). The evening meal and breakfast were buffet style with lots of choice and good quality (inc in price).
I honestly believe that there can't be a better 2 day trip anywhere if you like to feel a bit of history and want to see such amazing scenery.
