I so agree but Bonjour is an excellent hotel

I've already had a nightmare year with being made redundant and then H4U going bust and now i read this and it's put a real damper on things. I just want a nice clean hotel with friendly staff and a decent pool but it sounds like it should be on Holidays from Hell on ITV! I really wish i hadn't booked it now. Has anyone else been over last month and got a better review? Also could i just ask does the hotel still supply towels for pool and beach to save me packing more. Many thanks for any help you could give me

What seems strange to me and is my prime concern having called it a dump. Is the fact that clients are returning and saying it is in need of refurbishment.
Which contradicts their advertisment [trade description here] :-

Renovate --- Refurbish, is there a differance ??. Dictionary says not !
Either way, what it looks like here is a pot luck lottery based on what room you are allocated.
As is the case with most middle of the range hotels, this is probably why there are wildly conflicting reports appearing.

It was a beautiful place when first done but if you don't keep on top of things then things will soon deteriorate

Hi there peevo I agree with you how these hotels abroad come very close to trade descriptions act and in many cases totally over step the mark. I've just had such a terrible year that this holiday is all that's kept me sane and possibly still on this earth to be honest, and then you read someones review and you are bound to get disappointed. As i'd said previously as long as my room is clean and i have hot water, comfy bed and a balcony i'm pretty happy. Thanks for your input tho x

The only minus is that the baths should be taken out it can be awkward climbing in for a shower and the noise from the munamar across the road it is horrendus sometimes and that would be the only reason i would have for changing hotels I hope this puts your mind at rest feel free to send me an e mail if you require any more info and i am sure fee fee and duffaire will back me up on this

billyjoarmstrong wrote:Hi Peevo i am also out there next week and as i said before i need this holiday more than i've ever needed one and your honesty is appreciated if not upsetting a little but i suppose as Rab said not everyone has the same views and i'll have to accept that and just take as i find. I am not a push over by no means so if i recieve bad service or feel i'm being ripped off then they'll know about it. Well if i dont get hot water i can always go to my m8's hotel for one so that's not a problem.
Rab i very much appreciate your post and has cheered me up a little knowing your views on the CDV. Can i just ask if you still get the towels for pool/beach? Just saves weight in my case if i don't need them. Any info you can give me would be great. My son who is travelling with me has never been a beach fan so i'm not bothered about the hotels free beach but i go down to see Ibrahim anyway and get great service and lovely young beach boys at my beck and call!!!!!!
At the end of the day i have lost my job and then H4U went bust taking my money with them and i cannot afford to move to another hotel so whatever happens i am stuck here so i'll make the best of it.
Plenty of trips and spending my days at another hotels pool will do me fine.
