Isnt it fantastic that we have this forum and are able to share experiences, mainly good about Icmeler.
Angelus commented re the 'hidden' charges - that if you know in advance - 'you pays your money and makes your choice' - thats not easy though when arriving shattered after a 4.00 am arrival.
We all work very hard for our holidays and most of us work to a budget relative to our means.
It will be interesting to see if I have the same experience on Monday afternoon ie. allocated an ATTIC room, then a sea view becoming miraculously available if I part with 14 x £5. and As
JT rightly says 'you vote with your wallet'
Under those circumstances I will POLITELY tell them at the booking desk that I consider their policy to be underhand and disgracefull and I will never book another holiday at the Chateau - nor will i buy a drink or sandwich from them during my current holiday.
I will inform
ICR of the situation and on my return ensure my experiences are recorded in reviews.
My working life involves a lot of client contact and I can state that Customer Service/ Loyalty is a two way street and any organisation that thinks differently in this day and age will not prosper. ( I deal with ICR not for price but for the way I am dealt with - excellent !)
I have had my little rant now and its over, i am cool whatever happens at the Chateau check in - I could even get a sea view without asking
I WILL enjoy my holiday, especially looking forward to the ICR Boat Trip & Gipsy Beach day and the meet ups which I am sure will contribute to a memorable two weeks in
Icmeler (as always)
