Rooms not very big for apartments, but have everything you need (not toaster but not many have) and are clean, balconies overlooking pool and pool area is large. Is not the very best I have stayed at but a lot better than the worst. You will be fine there.

Hi Kenny, daughter and I are at Daystar atm and the aparts are fine! Staff are lovely and despite what you may have read, they DON'T hassle you for food etc. Lovely breeze comes across the pool, so the heat is more bearable.......................
More than happy with the aparts considering how little we paid for them
Have a great time when you get here

Hi Sue. You can find the tel no by googling "clubdaystar telephone" - there's usually someone on reception most of the time during the day. Or if she's booked through ICR, I guess they could take care of things for her? If it's just a case of keeping the room on, in my experience it's a case of asking when she gets here - it generally depends on how full somewhere is?

Thanks for the replies we had a horrible time last year due not spending enough money in the aparts.I think if it happens again we would seriously think again about visiting turkey again . This was our biggest worry .Daystar were not our first choice but thanks for the positive replie Fanny .Enjoy the rest of your holiday . I am sure we will now kenny s and family

You're very welcome Sue

Kenny - am sure you'll have a great time! We've eaten brekkie over the road at Rhodes aparts a couple of times and they are right opp Daystar, no funny comments or frostiness at all from the lads here at all!
Our bills have been spot on and the cocktails are bogoff all the time. They also do happy half hour in morning and afternoon with all soft drinks on bogoff, including energy drinks!
Good deals on snacks at lunch too - 11.90 for chicken wrap, chips and soft drink. Wouldn't eat main meal here though as there are lots of great places to go, and while the snacks are fine I don't think it's the best of food- it's cheap though

we stayed at the daystar twice last year, we ate there a few times and the food was very good yes the staff will try to get you to eat/have a drink there but we did not feel under pressure to do so we would always have a couple of drinks at night before going for our evening meals elsewhere and have a drink back at the daystar before going to bed, the rooms are an okay size although kitchen is a bit hit and miss with item ie somethings may be missing but just go to reception and ask, pool is a good size and the rooms are cleaned daily, im sure will have a good time Kenny at the end of the day the holiday is what you make it.

I have stayed at Daystar many times over the years but not this year. Stayed at Eden Gardens but went down to Rhodes a few days as I know Tolga who runs the bar there. Noticed while walking past Daystar that they obviously now do bed & breakfast as they had a table set up with all breakfast buffet style on there. Might be a good idea if you've chosen this as you can stock up at brekkie and last you all day!!

Last year when I stayed there, once on my own and once with my Mum. My solo visit was ok, as my room was really nice and big, balcony over looking the pool and I paid a really cheap price for the room so I was pleased with that. They did hassle me loads which made me want to be elsewhere rather than there but I did always stay for drinks before going out and at the end of the night. Same with my Mum, loads of hassle for food, so we did stay but it was lame. I told the bar manager at the time too.

I am hoping it has changed hands again and the running of it is better. The staff turnover is huge but hopefully they've got it right this time. After saying all of this, if I were to go alone again and they were offering the same cheap prices I would stay there again I think. At the end of the day, it depends what you want from a place to stay, if it is the pool - Daystar pool is lovely. Good size room - their rooms are nice, clean and tidy but do complain it they put you up in the roof, these are not nice at all.

New manager and staff on bar/restaurant side of things this year - former manager of original Blondies in town opp Linekars and they can't do enough for us, NO hassle at all

It'sdefinitely not B&B, but SC - they do English breakfast and also Turkish breakfast from 8.00 am. Turkish breakfast is all laid out buffet style, so that will be what Sami's seen - not tried it but it looks lovely. If you want it, you pay for it like you would any other meal

English breakfast over the road at Rhodes is nicer IMHO - and includes tea or coffee over there, whereas at Daystar it doesn't

UPDATE - things changed slightly just before we came home and people can "upgrade" through the bar to inlcude breakfast and/or meals for a charge, sorry didn't notice what it was as we were too busy blubbing at the thought of leaving
also BOGOF drinks now extended to include shorts as well as cocktails

hi we are staying at the daystar just now no hassle at all the guys from the bar could not be more helpful my mum has a mobility scooter and there is no ramp into building but the guys behind bar /resturant lift it up and down steps as many times a day as she needs without even having to be asked never been hassled over eating or drinking in bar it is self catering but they do the option to upgrade to half board which we turned down but there was no fuss at all very nice clean place to stay would recommend it to anyone and to keep your room extra day its 20 pound
