Im comming to icmeller in may for two weeks so i could organise deposits or whatever then so that when we come back in september it would be all sorted. thanks
If your friend's illness is progressing it would be worth their while buying their own scooter rather than renting one. They are quite reasonable now at £400-£500. If you're going on holiday for two weeks it would cost 400 Lira to rent one and if especially s/he loves going on holiday perhaps it wouldn't just be a one-off so it seems quite an expense to add on to each holiday.
I've been taking my scooter with me to
Icmeler for the last five years and was using a manual chair before that. It is so much easier now and I have my own independence, the only minor problem is that on the return journey my scooter is taken at check-in and I'm then pushed in a manual chair which is frustrating when you could have used it to go around the airport. On the way out I can use my scooter to the plane itself and then they take it to the hold.
The scooter is great for carrying you're bottled water, efes etc. back to the apartment and another plus with taking your own scooter with you is that the bag on the back of your scooter is never weighed at
Dalaman so you have extra baggage allowance. Insurance is not a problem, you just inform you're insurers when you give all your other information.
