Nightlife in Fethiye

If you’re here for an enjoyable holiday Fethiye can more than satisfy with its range of evening fun! Fethiye’s discos, bars and live music will not disappoint holidaymakers, making this a lively, yet not over the top place for nightlife.

What kind of nightlife is there in Fethiye?
Remember that Fethiye is one of the towns on Turkey’s southern coast that has managed to retain much of its Turkish charm, so the streets aren’t filled with British pubs and nightclubs as they are in somewhere like Marmaris. This means you’ll get a slightly different experience when on holiday in Fethiye, and one which some might argue is a little more authentic!

Bars in Fethiye
Fethiye definitely has its share of bars so you can start your night on the town in one of the many bars that you’ll find scattered throughout the city. The main concentration is of course in the centre of Fethiye and because these are busier this area will tend to be noisier too. As the night goes on, the music gets cranked up and the dance floors start to fill. The bars morph into discos, and popular places include the Car Cemetery Bar, Deep Blue Bar and Ottoman Bar.

If you’re looking for a quieter place to sip a drink and relax you should probably head out of the city centre. The hillside above the amphitheatre is a great place as you can get some excellent views from up here – perfect for a drink while watching the sun go down!

Traditional Music in Fethiye
If you’re craving a more traditional night out while on holiday in Fethiye look for some of the town’s bars that play traditional music. Whether this is piped out from a stereo or you’re lucky enough to get a live performance, traditional Turkish music mixes the sounds of numerous instruments to create songs that can range from those of the lively, foot-stomping variety, to those that are hauntingly eerie. Pegasus is one place where you can enjoy traditional music, as is Ezgi Bar.

Nightclubs
You don’t have to go without a visit to a nightclub while on holiday in Fethiye as the nearby town of Hisaronu has many other disco bars and it’s only a short trip by taxi or dolmus. Some holidaymakers would argue that Hisaronu is livelier than Fethiye, though it really depends on what you’re looking for on your night out!
