Getting to your hotel in Didim or Altinkum is relatively quick and easy. There’s no airport within the Didim district but the Milas-Bodrum Airport is close enough for use, yet far enough away that you’re not bothered by the constant sound of flights taking off and landing!

It’s about 55 to 60 miles by road from Milas-Bodrum Airport to hotels in Altinkum (depending on which route you take), and either way the transfer time should be around 90 minutes. The journey is very scenic so can sit back and enjoy the passing scenery (provided you’re travelling during daylight!) as you pass by landscapes such as Lake Bafa, and pine clad mountains.
 
To make the transfer to Didim from Bodrum Airport you can take a taxi, which are always readily available outside the terminal building, or you may be able to find a shuttle bus service. The alternative is to hire a car and drive yourself. If you were planning to hire a car for your holiday in Altinkum anyway, this could be a cost effective option. It’s always advisable to reserve your car hire in advance to make sure you get the vehicle you need and the best rates available.
