Hi Smiler,

Hubby and myself stayed at Baydu three weeks ago. Aparts are basic but were clean. Owner was very helpful. The best thing about Baydu is the location - very central for all the bars and close to the beach. We are going there again tomorrow! :D
Hope you enjoy your holiday- you can't go wrong with Icmeler!

thank could you tell me if there are safety deposit boxes available at the baydu :D

We were offered the baydu aparts early last year but decided to leave them as they are too basic for our guests though a good location and the smell of the Indian meals wafting up from the Taj Mahal below was a plus for me though wasn't sure how other people would think about it.

we were transfered to the baydu after refusing to stay five seconds in the oylem gardens dungeon.nice basic very clean appartments.sheets and towels were changed regularly. cleaned and bins emptied every day.close to the beach and canal, we would not have a problem staying there again :)

Smiler,

There are safety boxes at Baydu - and they are located in the individual rooms, which we prefer.

The aroma of Indian food from Taj Mahal is a bonus for us but it certainly wasn't overpowering.

We're off tonight - counting down the hours now!

Thank you xx

I stayed there in the middle of July, no complaints except the stairs are a bit tricky.

29 Jul 2006 15:53

Hi Amber
Can you elaborate on the stairs please. Me, vodka and stairs always seem to get in trouble xx

29 Jul 2006 15:55

Their quite high, made of marble, and theres no railing.
My legs were wonky for the first few days and I had a bit of difficulty getting down them haha.

29 Jul 2006 16:00

oh dear thanks. I can imagine us going down on our backsides all the time xx

29 Jul 2006 16:01

Just be careful with your suitcases. Me and my Mum just tossed them down each stairwell haha. You might be lucky and get a low down apartment, I was right at the top. The balconies are huge, thats the best thing about Baydu!

29 Jul 2006 16:26

Hi Amber
Did the man at the Baydu not help you. Oh dear my poor suitcase. Any other tips you can give me would be more than welcome. Thanks xx

He helped us when we arrived, But was no-where to be seen when we were leaving. The maid just stood and watched us haul the cases down the steps. The key has a massive oversized keyring on it, god knows its purpose. Shaped like a .. yeah :P Still unsure of how to pronounce it. When you tell people your staying in BAY DOO their all like "Never heard of it" :P So you say BAI DOO and their like "aah yeah" :P Now I'm rambling. My shower wasnt up to much either, water was going all over the floor haha. But apart from that its a nice place

oh dear i can see trouble brewing already hee hee. I'm not even there yet but it was cheap?? Maybe I will have to show them how to treat guests. thanks xx

Hi we have just returned from a 2 week stay at Baydu and its fab!! The apartments are basic but all your doing is sleeping in them!!!!!!!! :D The stairs are a bit steep but after a few drinks who cares :) The location is superb. Air conditioning is £20 per week and safety deposit boxes are £10 per week. Ferhat (the owner) helped us with our cases when we arrived infact he chased after the bus on a bike as we had left one on it!! Another holidaymaker helped us back down with them when we were leaving. Its a nice place and I cant wait to go back.

Hi Diane
Thats great, thanks. Glad you had a great holiday. I'm sure I'll master the stairs after a few drinks xx
