We went to Roses last year and the food was great. I told her how much I liked stuffed aubergine and low and behold that is what was served up.
If I remember right she does a three course meal twice a week and you need to book with her for that.
We will be back in Icmeler in September and intend to go there a couple of times at least.
If you are walking along the main road into the village just before you reach the approach to the village look to your left and you should see some signs saying Cafe Rose follow these and with luck you will come to it. Hope this helps, as it is quite out of the way.
Have a great holiday Beech.

I came across Rose Cafe in the old village when I was in Icmeler in june. The food and the place is really fantastic!

And as you say Sixy7, two times a week she serves a turkish homemade three course meal. For starters we had meze, 6-7 small turkish dishes (don´t do the same misstakt we did though, we thought this was the main course!). After this we had a lovely chicken casserole, and fruit for desert.

It´s really worth a visit, even if it is a little bit off! Probably the only hussle free and quiet place in Icmeler! Once you find it, you will go back! I know I will when I go back in august!

Cafe Rose is a fab place to have a nice, quiet romantic meal. Rose herself isn't what I'd describe as an old lady......maybe in her early 50's. Anyway, we were in Icmeler on our honeymoon a couple of years ago and the pool boy/barman/handyman/crazy dancer at our apartments suggested we go there for a wee change. He gave us a note to give her which was in Turkish and we did so on our arrival. After a delicious meal, at very reasonable prices, she appeared with the bill and some lovely flowers for the new mrs magoo and wished us a happy honeymoon, which was obviously what the note had been about. What a wonderful touch. It's things like this that make the people of Icmeler so special.

And it really isn't that far out of the way....just keep walking up by the babadan aparts towards the old village, when you come to the crossroads at Mr chef and Ozzy's restaurants, head left and you will see signs for Cafe Rose on a couple of lamposts. It's well worth it. We've returned a couple of times since.

Rose cafe directions

If you stand faceing de ja vu in the old village follow the road on your left 5 to 10 mins walk. When you come to a small bridge with a water tap alongside turn left (Don`t cross the bridge) you will see signpost for roses cafe on lampost. Give it a try you will enjoy. kel

hiya skilly,

yes Rose does serve beer along with the meals. I'm not sure about wine, but I'm almost certain that she'll have whatever you ask for on the drinks front!! :D :D
