Tickets

Postby jo_marie » 20 May 2010 08:16

Hi everyone

We are due to fly to icmeler a week today for our belated honeymoon and we havent received our flight tickets, we booked through the internet and printed off the Hotel voucher but it said that we would receive tickets for our flights, getting slightly worried now, I cannot get through to the company themselves, either shut, or busy urghhhh , before when we have flown we have received the tickets at least 10 days before, can anyone suggest anything or has anyone had their flight tickets as late as this - if you see what I mean :(

There is another thread running and I think (If I remember correctly) some people were getting emailed their tickets just a few days before the holiday.

Hi Jo
I would email the company immediately, I have been emailing the company I booked with as I have not received my flight tickets.(Due to fly from Gatwick 28th May). Today I received an email from the company with a reference number and my flight details. They have changed my flight times for the return leg of my journey and also changed the airline! There is not much difference to the flight times, I will be leaving an hour and a half later than the original flight, this is a bit of inconvenience but not too bad. I am really annoyed that I have not received any communication regarding this change and so instead of returning with Onur air I will be returning with Pegasus airlines, the flights were booked in November and if the flight has been cancelled then fair enough but if the flight is still scheduled OHY363 then I want to be on it, does anyone know if this could be checked?
I have never flown with Pegasus before, does anyone know what they are like?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Sandy

Thanks Sandy, I did manage to get through to them yesterday after going through to sales rather than after sales, funny how they always answer when you want to buy something!! they did say that we wont be receiving tickets cause as from last week our airline went ticketless, oh what a surprise, so we are to just use our invoice instead, as like you this was booked back in Novemer and you would have thought they would have the courtesy to let us know  , makes me mad, but its all sorted now, so thanks guys but the panic is over :D

Most airlines are ticketless now, so if you've supplied an e-mail address they will have sent them there.

I will point out that you should always check the Junk mail folder before you delete. H4U sent my tickets and I found them in there

Note though, all the e-mail is a confirmation of your itinerary and your booking reference. Its not your tickets. Therefore, in the off chance you don't get them or indeed lose the sheet, then don't panic. You'll be able to board providing you have your passport.

99% airlines do this now (I've never had tickets for years other than my package holiday, just use me passport). Just took a while for package operators to catch on that we don't need a massive wedge of tickets.

Anyway, off there week today. Just took me folks to airport for there 3 weeks! Can't wait. Anyway, its hotter here as its raining over there!

Anyone ever booked flight only with Jet2 and just had the reference number instead of tickets?? I am a bit wary about taking a piece of paper with just a reference number on to get checked in :?

My mum and dad have booked a package deal with the same company and they have to print their tickets out.
