Sink Plug

Postby daviemc » 04 May 2010 19:38

Does anyone take a plug for the bathroom sink with them?. I have taken some in the past but they never seem to fit, the water just runs away halfway through shaving, If anyone has found one that fits properly could they please post the size and where you got it from.

I got a multi size one a couple of years ago, it has a smallish bottom part which will fit all plug-holes and a very wide part at the top so that no matter what size the plug hole the water will not run out. I cannot for the life of me remember where I got it from but it will have been from somewhere like Wilkinsons, Home Bargains or big store like those as thats the places I go for items of that nature.

You are welcome. The top of the one I got I will stress is very wide and goes a long way over the bottom part.
It is an essential thing that is only small but you absolutely cannot use anything else to do the job! :(

I put the plug in the sink when I got here in April and left a few dishes in soak.

I came home after a few hours to a flooded hose as I didn't know that the tap was weeping and filled the bloody sink up.

No more plugs for me

Sorry for that, I did think when I looked at the ebay one though that is was different to mine, mine is very very wide at the top, much wider than that one you got on ebay. I will look around while I am out and about and if I see ones like mine and will tell you where I got mine from. I have tried to remember but for the life of me cant.

Hard to believe that a Topic on Sick/Sink Plugs would take 18 hits, an old remedy from days spent in the Forces is to stick some toilet paper in the out let,not great but allows you long enough to wash.
