Postby Erik The Viking » 13 May 2010 17:04

Does anyone know if Sugar and the Buffalo bar is still up and running, best place for a nice cheap beer and a chicken and chips supper for only a couple of quid - appreciate any price increase info

Erik the Buffalo has been open for quite a while now.
I have heard he is doing a B.O.G.O.F. for the season.

Efes Draught 5 Lira for two pints
Efes Bottled 6 Lira for 2 Bottles
Drinks in all bars are roundabout 5-6 Lira a pint or bottle
Efes Dark 7 Lira for 2
Cocktails 11 Lira for 2
Spirits with mixer 8 Lira for 2

Food again though basic, chicken and chips, curries, etc are still very well priced.
Karaoke starts about 9-30, Eric the vikeing could be found here during August doing Elvis impressions.
This is a very friendly bar and is worth haveing a few bevvies in here before moveing on to the more expensive bars.

You can find me in here most lunchtimes and evenings, trying to stretch the pension out.

The way I see it Erik is that if the wife and I spend £700 on beer in the other bars,I can go to Sugars and only spend £350 on his beer, this leaves me £350 again to spend on beer,or let the wife kit herselfe out in shoes handbags and frocks.

Gene

ps.Thats a bit of Derbyshire logic, flat caps and mushy peas 8)

pps.just in case the wife reads this I lied about the shoes, handbags and frocks

Its good sense to me, The father in law and me have been known to enjoy one to many so this bar, few beers, cribbage board and good company sounds good to me.

We didnt get to Sugars last year, but I think its a definite for June this year. Am I right in thinking, you pass the ICR offices, and what was the Scotia Bar, then turn left?
