I thought Michael was moving his show to the old village (Was it the Robin Hood or something). £7 does seem a little steep, but it is a fantastic show, and well worth the money.

I would imagine it will kill it, and as horrible as it sounds perhaps serves them right - although i have never been many people have told me its good but the 'cost' of the show is reflected in the price of the drinks anyway, a family of 4 will have to hand over £28 and then pay for drinks aswell.....very selfish in my opinion and i hope it fails, for a lot of families on a budget that £28 is nearly a meal. Sheer greed in my opinion, and please - before anyone jumps down my throat, it is just my opinion!

15 Lira entrance fee, knock off the price of a pint that makes 9 for the entrance fee, we will still go once however we normally would go two or three times which we won't this year.

the good lady and I went too see this show last year and in my opinion it is overated dont get me wrong it is entertainment but nothing great and at the inflated prices of drinks and then getting them wrong twice I for one will not be returning and if they put a charge on the door I think it will die a death
and as Eric says this is only my opinion

Are they charging the fee to everyone or to those that don't eat there?

I hope they don't start charging entrance fees this year as we might as well go into Marmaris and see Bella Beserk or Talk Of The Town :P

Sorry no idea if entrance fee is for everyone or only those not eating...have never been to the Marmaris shows, but i thought you had to pay to get into Talk of Town aswell? I still wish Stella luck cos i think plenty places in Icmeler gonna need it this season, theres been lots money spent on refurbishing, including Harmony, and places looking much better now. Ive just got back and so many tourists were all inclusive, even Venice opening night wasnt up to the usual because not many people out n about x

Wow , If true regarding entry fees we might have to give Stella a miss this year :( .
We went 3 times last year, each time having a very big meal and loads of cocktails, It was one of the most expensive meals we had in icmeler but worth every penny as each meal was to die for.
If you then add 5x£7 entry fee It will end up being a wallet busting night out :( .

Even if we could afford this I dont think it will be value for money.
Like you Eatock08 we might go to Marmaris for Bella/Talk of the town if It works out roughly the same price.

I really hope this falls flat on it's face if entry fees are added.

Brainwave :?:
Wait a wee minute  how can they charge a entry fee if you stand outside on the prom and watch :?:

I've never been to this, but the price would put me off! Would rather find a nice bar/restaurant & watch the free entertainment there than pay that amount :(

Just by reading the few comments on here they have lost potentially a dozen or more customers, no matter how you dress it up as getting a 'free' drink you have just paid for it by handing over 15 lira to get through the door! They may as well say its 50 lira each and get a 'free' meal.

The cost like Jambo says for his family would get them to Marmaris in a taxi to watch a show`!If i were them i would seriously consider this charging before peak season arrives. There will be 5 of us this year and although not my cup of tea i may have gone with the other halfs parents, but not for a fee - i would rather choose one of the free entertainment venues and spend that extra 75 lira on a special meal or a few drinks.

Never been to the Stella show but heard many good reports about it. Other comments made regulary also advise though that whilst the show was free the food and drinks were a little more expensive, so perhaps technically the show was not entirely free.

I was thinking of going this year but if the 15 lira cost is accurate, less say 5 lira for a free drink, I think there will be many people in Icmeler givin it a miss or at least only going once instead of several times. I really feel sorry for those who would go to the show as a family eg 4/5 or even 6 people, thats a lot of money to spend on an entrance fee

Will be interseting to see how many people "boycott the show on a matter pf principal/cost and if they then review the situation. If the comments on here so far a re typical of people going to Icmeler Michael could be in for a difficult season

A few good point's you have said smc4761.

Last year we understood that food and drinks cost more than most places in Icmeler... We took this into consideration last year when visiting the Harmony Bar.

Like I said ... We had very good food here last year.... Worth Every Penny.

Yes It was above average prices for Icmeler 09 but we thought that having the Stella Show balanced things out.
This year however????? 5 x£7 is a BIG dent in the purse.

I would hate to see Anyone fail at Anything in life... I just feel that the Harmony Bar are being GREEDY.

There was a thread on here last year were people said that they wouldnt mind paying an entrance fee for live entertainment because they were sick of the dancing boys Tina Turner and the like being dished up at other bars.
We now have a situation were people are saying that they will boycot the place now because of an entrance charge.

I am not trying to stir it,I have always liked the entertainment served up in the other bars and I do visit the Harmony at least once every holiday, but I will also vote with my feet as I have never believed in an entrance charge, the beer and spirit prices should be enough.

i would not mind paying a few Lira per adult ( mum +dad) but not the kids also....

They charge upto 6 Lira for a juice...... x that by 3 and you make more than the Banks in th UK.... Never mind BARS in Icmeler.

Last year a large beer was 6 Lira compared to 4 Lira or less at other places, so I was paying 12 Lira over the odds for 6 beers, (then you had the wifes G&T's and the kids large pops) for me that was to pay for the show, thinking about it, if the beer has reduced in price I may still go, if it hasn't I am not paying for the show twice so won't go.
