The wife informs me that she also is doing the climb as is my friend and his wife, but John may be at Ground zero to keep your good lady company.
There may be a few more wanting to join our safari up the mountain  but everyone will be wellcome.

10am sounds good to me, Gene. I'm sure I'll be looking forward to my lunchtime "refreshments" as well :D And as for making it a challenge, I'll settle for trying to take a decent photo or two from the top.

Not sure whether Rosie and Sophie will be waiting at Tommy's, though. My suspicion is they'll be off round the shops, or more likely by the pool 8)

Now I just need to use my own map to find out where Tommy's bar actually is :D

Cheers,
Paul.

Here is the link to the older post were myself, Rami, Irem and the 2 dogs did the climb while John kept the drinks cold.

If I remember it took us around 1 and a half - 2 hours there and back, with a picnic at the top, and time to take some photo's.
If only we knew about the path, it would have been much easier, I was still picking thorns from my skin a week later, but it was well worth doing.
I am not very good with heights, I think it shows in the photo's, but the views are spectacular, so don't forget your cameras, and make sure you wear walking boots or trainers, and enjoy every minute of it.

you do know your all mad, hats off to you cos i'd be pooped walking to the bar never mind up the mountain (Ireckon it s a mountain in disguise). At least i imagine its more sensible to do that climb in May rather than July or august.

I'd be propping the bar up as well cheering you on. Thats somethig my husband would do cos he's mad as well - I wont be mentioning to him about people climbing it

Good luck and have a massage booked for achy muscles.

Hey John,

Happy birthday for last week. We were away for mum's birthday over the weekend so could not send a message before now - hope you had a good one.

It looks as though it may just be myself and Mum walking up to the flag during the week 21.05.2010 - 28.05.2010 so your directions to the start and your moral support from Tommy's would be most welcome. Would be great if any of the girls are around on the day too. Will have a chat with Mum tonight about what day is best to go up and then can arrange the moral support from there.

Good luck to anyone else that attempts this in the weeks following our attempt.
