I never take £20's always £10's don'thave a problem then. If I were you I owuld change your £20's to £10's over here and then you will be okay :D

They are thats why I asked.Perhaps I should better explain why I asked.
Each week I put £20 into my holiday wallet for my spending money so I find I have quite a few old ones in there. Think I will do as suggested and replace them with new ones before I go to be on the safe side.

Thanks.

my bank (natwest) advised me that the old £20 note will finish in june2010, so in process of changing holiday spends into new £20 and my usual £10 don't want to have the wrong notes for EFES

Help please - what do the new notes look like? I'm Scottish and have gathered some Bank of England twenties for the holiday but we don't see them very often so - what's the difference between them and the old ones (just in case I need to change them before June)?
Thanks

if you have any HSBC cash machines where you live, withdraw the money from them - you get english notes.

depends on your daily cash allowance on your card. I can withdraw £500 from mine each day. Check with your bank :D

Also depends on the particular bank - some have lower limits on what you can withdraw from their machines at any one time.
