Hi Pickle72 - I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. I can recommend booking a Turkish bath - if you've never had one before, it's a real experience. There are so many great restaurants that you're bound to find some that you'll love. And I'd also recommend a day trip to Marmaris for a walk round the bazaar - you can get there by dolmus (minibus) or water taxi or even walk - if you're happy to get up at the crack of dawn so you can get there before the heat hits you!

Have a lovely holiday!

Hello,

You're totally going to love icmeler. the first time i went i didn't want to come back!

As for places to eat I'd recommend The Wayside, Selam & for a good kebab there's a shop up from the Florida restaurant that sells yummy ones with chips in!

For exchanging money, we've always found The Wonder Boys pub to have the best rate. It's on the very last street at the far end on the road leading down to the beach. Just up from the Mersoy. Others find the ICR office does the best rate.

For trips, like Susi suggested a Turkish bath is always nice (although i find once you've done it...that's it, y'know?) I like the 5 island cruise...a nice lazy way to spend a day - sunbathing, swimming in the sea, having a wander around a small town & eating/drinking! There's also the trip to Dalyan & Turtle beach, it's a looooooong day, but you get to go to the mud baths (which smell of rotten eggs due to the sulpher lol) and you also get to see the Lycian cave tombs which are completely fascinating!

Hi pickle72
I can also recommend a turkish bath.
Dont be shy its a great experience and make you feel brilliant after and you wont peel on holiday.

I went twice last year in july an sept both for two weeks. Had two turkish baths both times.

Have a walk to marmaris along the beach (left hand side) the walk will take you abut 1 hour half to far port end, but worth it.

Stop for a drink and swim in any pool they wont mind at all.

We are going again for two weeks in sept and will be in the turkish bath first day

have a great time

Hi pickle - welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will love Icmeler as much as the rest of us do. Where are you staying? You won't be short of places to eat - there are loads and to be honest, I've yet to have a bad meal anywhere in Icmeler.

Hi pickle
You will love Icmeler. Defo for the Turkish Bath...a wonderful experience. There are plenty of trip vendors selling excellent trips...the village trip is very good, as is the jeep safari. For a good night out, head off to the Harmony Bar to watch the Stella show...this is a drag act and it is hillarious. You need to get there about 8ish as it does get fill up very quickly. Or if you go to Marmaris for the evening, try the Talk of the Town...another brilliant show.
I am sure that you will find loads to do though, so enjoy your holiday :D :D
