Ozzys and Robin Hood would be my two recommendations in the Old Village, the food is lovely and the staff are really pleasant too.

Robin Hood? Sounds V Turkish.

Do they do Maid Marian burgers & Friar Tuck boxes?

No!!!!!
But in an earlier post, Robin Hood is supposed to be the new venue for the Stella Show, (no relation to lager... :D :D )
A must see show.

We went into Robin Hoods bar a few times last year - didn't have any food though as it was empty for the whole of our 2 weeks holidays. Had a few last drinks there as it was quite cheap and near our apartments - I think the show will transform this place, it needs it.

I would recommend the Love Star, Ozzys,Cubanna( I think ), Cafe rose, Romance and the fast food piza style place called Pizza tomato that is cheap and a nice change from Turkish style food.

Top of my list would be Ozzy's or Cafe Rose.

I love Romance - the foods great.

Also, we couldn't help but see a huge change, for the better, in the food at Deja Vu. We were very surprised.

I'm making a careful note of these suggestions & will try them out. Saddly there are only 14 nights to have dinner.

Our food was stone cold, I don't mean luke warm either I mean cold as in it was like it had been in a fridge and they had forgot to warm them up. had to spit it out, and was given no offer of it being changed he just expected us to pay for a meal that was inedible, this is the only bad meal I have had in Icmeler.

Hi Pastiej, though not in the old village, I can't recommend the Salem highly enough if you want home made traditional Turkish food in lovely quiet surroundings and at reasonable prices - their set meal last year was 3 courses for 20 YTL
It's not in the old village though, it's just off the main road near tansas, down the side of Travellers Rest heading towards the beach [on the same road as the Selen Hotel]
We always make sure to pay a couple of visits there when we want a reprieve from the loud bars and feel in need of a nice quiet relaxing night

If it was Tratorio De Bistro, thats just around to the left from wayside, and I too had a thoroughly enjoyable meal there last year. I will definitely return.

Hi Fanny - I know just where you mean. Must have walked past it when we were in the Avlu 4. Will call in this year either in June or September.

I think the holidays this year will be somewhat of a dining adventure. Looks like we will be struggling to fit in our usual haunts!

Tommy's in the old village is a great restaurant and does the best garlic mushrooms ive ever tasted. I will definitely be returning this year. I have been a few times and cant praise it enough food is fantastic.

Tommys is on the road that the dolmus takes through the old village, about 300 metres from the Adler apartments

yep Pastiej, it's close by Avlu4 and what a little oasis it is
they've got lovely comfy chairs to relax on after your meal and I could happily have stayed there all night, it really was an effort to leave
the food's all cooked to order, so it can take a little while but it's well worth the wait

know just what you mean about trying to fit everything and everywhere in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

am sure it'll live up to mine and ochlynda's recommendations, so have a great time if you do manage to pay it a visit

it sounds like the old village has a lot going on, we were there last summer but only saw a couple of restaurants, obviously we must not have gone right through the village. will explore more this year and try some of the recommendations.
