We are flying out next Monday 27 from Manchester-cant wait. Anyway I need to know do I have to pay £10 or Euro10 as I am travelling on an Irish passport but flying from Manchester. ie is it determined by ones nationality or the airport of departure. The missus is a UK citizen so it would be convienient just to give them £20.
Giving the weakness of sterling there is not much difference financially its just that I dont want any problems on arrival,
All advice appreciated
regards,
Michael

I dont think your nationality matters one english ten pound note in each passport at airport gets you your visa
be sure and go to visa desk before passport control desk

I thought that it the visa fee DOES depend on the nationality of your passport?
Gene's clued up on all things visa I think ..........

Looks like Irish passports carry the same visa charge as British/UK ones
Don't think they accept Ulsterbank notes though

I just didnt fancy a Midnight Expresss scenario at the airport

My hubby has an irish passport and he always has to pay in euros. We tried last year to pay the £10 but refused as it is an Irish passport. This year he had to pay 15 euro. Hope this helps

Yes you definetely pay 15euro`s on an irish passport so have this in your passport and you won`t have any trouble. Have a great time. Roll on 3/10

Hi mikendeb
Why not take 15 euro with you just in case if you dont use it at the airport you can always spend it in the resort
