Girls there is nothing better than getting pampered while in Turkey.
Its like a big relaxation day to me ha, I love getting my hair done every night before going out and the best thing about it is its all cheap too so theres nothing to worry about.

Hairdressers

Postby Tracy » 27 Apr 2005 08:33

There are many many hairdressers in Icmeler - but I dont think they know what a hair straightener is!!!! One of the hairdressers kept trying to persuade me to have my hair done (cut coloured blow dried etc) i resisted but was tempted until I said about straighteners (I have curly hair and wouldnt leave the house without straightening first!!!), he looked at me gone out! didnt know what I was talking about.

This was last June maybe they have straightners now - but if I were you I would take your straighteners. I for one couldnt live without mine!!!

Hair Straighteners

Postby glm » 27 Apr 2005 08:53

Hi, When I was in Icmeler last year my friend had her hair straightened at the hairdressers whilst there, not sure of the name, will see if she remembers where it was

Maybe then the particular hairdresser I am talking about didnt have any straighteners - it was next door to the Babadan Apartments called Gulcan something or other. There are some many hairdressers to choose from you will have to go in and ask but beware once you are in there its hard to escape!!

We went in for my girls to have their hair braided we were there for 3 hours! while we waited my husband had shave, hair cut, massage, then I ended up have a massage too. Took 3 hours to braid the girls hair - cost £12 each! a real bargain.

Also they do manicures, pedicures too - so good for a pampering in air conditioned salon when it blazing hot outside.

We are there for 2 weeks at end of July go out on 22nd July - when do you go?

Jayjay, I had a manicure and pedicure at Sebastians on the main road where the dolmus runs and I think it was about £10, well worth it as they were very thorough. :D

Pedicure and pampering

Postby JayJay » 12 May 2005 08:09

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Cheers Neets, I'll keep an eye out for that one.

Seems silly for me to pay UK prices when I can get most of it done on my first day in such a beautiful place. Its not the prices though,,, its the whole Pampering experience in a nice warm country I am looking forward to :D

Hubby always has a haircut, shave and the works, on our first day and also before we leave. Think I'll follow his way of thinking this year :)

Jayjay, thats how I ended up with a manicure and pedicure, my hubby went in for a shave and a haircut - the young guy did it (he didnt have a lot of hair himself) but its the best I've seen his hair so he's going to go back when we're next in Icmeler.

The shop is air conditioned as well - bonus!

Hi Collette
Sebastions is along the main road from Tansas, opposite Babadan and Yavuz Hotels, excellent service and nice people. Went there last year for a manicure.

Sebastians do them but watch your bill - he did us this time. Make sure you agree a price and dont agree to have anything else done whilst in the shop.
