Only 15kg Next Year

Postby rob » 24 Aug 2009 21:19

Spoke to ICR today and the lady was telling me you will only get a 15kg baggage allowance next year :( Additional weight will be £3 a kilo i believe. Just another way of loading us up just like the pre booked seat scam! :D

I have just booked for next year with F***** C*****! They still give you 20kgs of baggage allowance! This is the main reason we keep going with them!

Yes Brighteyes this seems to be the only group of companies to still offer 20kg.

Tch, if these flight companies could get away with it, they'd have us going on board nude so they could charge us extra for more clothes weight in the baggage.

Onurair is 20kgs. Surely this is plenty for the lads. We only need a few t-shirts and a couple of pairs of shorts, or is it you girls with all your paraphernalia and clothes!!

Onur did a special offer in May for early bookings and the baggage allowance was included in your price, but then they started charging to put the baggage in the hold 15kgs, but for £5 per kilo per journey you can upgrade your baggage allowance with them.

We also fly with Onur Air next year. We decided to buy a haldall in the market this year, and fill it up with beachtowels, suntan lotions, flip flops, evening tops, hairdryer and even the toilet rolls that we had left from this year. We then made arrangements with the owner of our Apartments to leave the bag there until next year. (he even offered to take it to his own home to keep for us)

We have also decided to put £1 every week in a tin to cover all our toiletries when we get out there, as we realised that you could buy everything in Tansas. Hopefully, this will help us with the 15kg limit next year.

We're going this Friday and only get 15kg each, and even though we're only going for a week it's going to be a struggle. Think my husband will have to cut back.

TC were the first company to reduce baggage allowance and set off almost everyone else to do the same.

Booked flights only with TC for next year. No baggage included but for £64 the 4 of us got 20 kg each. At £16 each thats cheaper than adding the extra 5kg on to the 15kg allowance with the other airlines.

hi folks, always have the gear we wouldn't wear at home laundered before we come back and leave it all in a case with friends to pick up the following year. Also leave spare hairdryer, straighteners, kettle, iron and all that sort of stuff, we actually had less than 30kg between us when we went over this year. Only thing is forgot what was in the case so this year took photos and downloaded them onto my PC to check before i pack next summer. :D :D

We fly next Thursday and we have 20kg with T.C.
We booked last October and we asked for 20 kg, I'm not sure if it was included in the overall price but it says 20kg on our tickets.
