My wifes the same, cleans the house from top to bottom, then on the morning we go away no one can use the loo after she has put her special stuff down.

Now I think its so inconsiderate to us men for you to be rushing round the house,
hoovering and dusting, getting the cases packed and putting the last few things in the washer, while we are trying to watch television.
There is nothing more annoying than a woman with her hoover while we are watching football trying to hoover round our feet.
We know your game.
But the fact is you should involve us more in the packing because our organising abilities would be invaluable.
Its been pointed out before, that we can do several tasks at once.

I too rush around like a mad thing scrubbing floors, cleaning windows etc. etc during the week before we go......must be daft cos we have three sons at home who will undoubtedly mess the place up within the first 24 hours of our departure!

Good post Gene almost fell off the sofa laughing when I read it.

I understand the concepts of cooking and cleaning......just not how they apply to me!
Seriously though, I think the reasoning behind our frantic even manic pre hols cleaning is that on our return from where ever, we want to dump our luggage, flick the switch on the kettle and relax a little while longer before we let reality seep into our lives!
8 weeks and counting!!!! ( Not cleaning yet!)

Regards.
Lisa.

Yes I am a mad woman also, I clean anything that does not stop still, my hubby says why do you bother it will only be dusty again when we come back, but as you all say at least you know you have done it and it gets you in the mood for your hols, I think if I did not do the cleaning before I went I would feel like I had forgot something.

5 weeks today and I will be in sunny Icmeler just finished my shopping for hols now, I am on the count down.

Happy hols to anyone going soon :D

Made me laugh as well, I love cleaning, I know it's quite sad really

Leaving my son and step son on their own this October so I'm expecting to come back to a right mess. Still if they don't get on facebook and invite everyone round for a party I'll be more than happy . Hopefully they wouldn't dare
