Went to icmeler late october last year and the venice bar were selling large effes at 1 lira, going again late this year, does anybody now if this was just a one off, or do they do it every year.

I think it was just a one off as the Venice had been closed for a few days for hassle prior to this. We just caught this offer on our last couple of days. I hope it is still at 1ytl in October, but I doubt it myself.

We are regulars at the Venice, Apo and Pasha were telling us when we were there in June that they had been told what price to sell the Efes at last year, it started after they were told that they had to sell the Efes at a particular price, anyone who knows Murat and Pasha will know that they dont like being told what to do in the bar, so they decided to sell it at 1YTL. It became ridiculous they said, queues forming from 9 in the morning. Apo told us a film crew from the news station turned up to do an interview..brilliant...Ollie from the Gondol Apartments, who actually own the Venice was telling us that it was cheaper for him to buy it in the Venice and sell it in his bar in the Gondol Apartments....jacqui

I remember the 1ytl efes last year. Majestic over the canal started to do the same as Venice were obviously getting all the custom!! Was jam packed in there everynight in october. The atmosphere was fab in there; cheap beer, good entertainment and everyone was loving it!!

It is indeed - almost opposite the Majestic.

does the venice and the majestic both have the waiters dancing we went to some resturants but no one was dancing used to go dreamboys last year all the lads danced all night not the same this year

Both the Venice and the Majestic still have the shows on from about 10'oclock.....get there early

yeah LynnJenny, they both have shows and waiters dancing - they just have to keep an eye for the police, so sometimes they'll be in the middle of a dance routine and everything will stop and music will get turned down

this usually only lasts a few minutes then normal service will resume!!

Don't worry Joturk all the bars and restaurants will still be in full swing when you get there and with it seeming to become darker just that little bit earlier the nights are longer......Enjoy

Just joined this site and loved the Venice bar, went with my mates and had such a fab time we're going back at the end of September woop woop!!

While there was so looked after by Lee and Hamish, they did give us thier email addresses but my mate left them at the hotel!!!! Does anyone have their full names or email addresses as we want to thank them and let them know we're coming back!!
