does anyone know the rules about duty free cigs id like to know if i can buy my allowed amount at gatwick then do the same at dalaman airport and this is where it gets complicated then after my hols have finished and im on my way back to dalaman airport with alot of cigs left which i purchased at gatwick and dalaman on way in can i stillbuy my quota on wayout of dalaman in other words will they count the duty free i bought on the way in long winded i know lol ust wanna bring back as much as poss please help

It doesn't matter where you buy them, you are only allowed to bring back 200 cigarettes into the UK from Turkey.

200 cigs total going into icemeler, and maxim of 200 per person going home either at dalaman or in icemeler
they will confiscate any over the top at dalaman also because they are cheaper in turkey than in europe the customs are out in force when you land. i know because we had 200 confiscated last hol. beware they are clamping down at english airports

when you land in Dalaman there is a duty free shop next to the baggage area. you are allowed to buy 3 cartons (600 cigs) there. I would buy them from here as they are cheaper than in UK airports.

As others have said you are only allowed to take 200 back to the UK

very little diff we have always got a better :lol: deal for cigs at the supermarket below iol office :lol:
