In all of the years we have been going to Icmeler (14) we have never had the urge to go into Dreamboys.
We do not like being hassled to go into places, in fact it puts us off, WE will make our minds up!!
The other reason we would'nt go in is that we just don't do loud bars.
I am not suprised that something like this has started, it was only a matter of time.
I also think that there will be a lot more.

We went to icmeler 2 years ago and used dreamboys regularly. We had a great time then , food excellent, and great ambience. After reading this we will not be going this year. Flying out on Monday. We are a party of eight and definately go where we want to with the hassle putting us off

You know its funny thats one of the places we've never fancied going in dont know why but you get vibes. We're taking 2 x 17 year old and 13 year old girls this year and i'll tell them about this to beware.

Am trying visualise this bloke was he the one who used to stand on the bins balancing glasses or something at Dream friends last yearthink he was stocky, he was a pest then.

Didnt know Dream Friends had shut down, not had much luck has it.

I've just trawled through our hol pics, but he doesn't appear on any. I wouldn't say he's stocky, very average build, and...let's just say I really don't think he'd dare talk to any blokes like that
You can't miss him anyway, walk past there early on, and he's in your face.
He said to us that he'd seen us walking on the other side of the canal. Little did he know (Or maybe he did realise), that we only did this to avoid him, and would cross over the first bridge we could.

I was there a week or so ago with my younger sister. Is it the dancer guy (i.e.tina turner, michael jackson etc) or the other one that's on the door you're talking about?

Actually trying to think back I remember the one on the door. We stayed at Vinces last year and used to walk round the back of vinces to get to the apts cos he was pain the bum all the time. Think he may have also been the dancer guy at night as well, we only went in dream friends once last year.

Plus pavement very narrow there so hard to avoid people.

Sheepy i often wondered how many others go out of the way to avoid some of the more uannoying characters. Glad its not just me.

The standing on bin guy that i was thinking of was fair bit older than the other lads like late 30's.

All things considered people vote with their feet and wallets dont they.

I'm sorry to disagree with everyone but here it goes....lol.......i went to icmeler last year and went in dreamboys a few times and never got any hassle. So when we returned to icmeler in May/June this year we returned to dreamboys and we went in most nights. And it was fantastic. But there was some nights we didnt go in but walked past because we was going to venice bar, and they asked if we was going in and we said no we never got an abuse or anything like that! And when we did return to dreamboys the next evening we didnt get treated any differently.

When i go, theres a group of 4 girls so don't know if thats why.

Sorry for the rant lol and it's just my experience and although i did not get abuse from dreamboys i did from other bars so can totally agree that it does happen

I went to Icmeler in May this year for 2 weeks with my Mum & Dad. We have been going for the last 12 years & have always had a good time. Before May this year we have never visited Dreamboys. Always meant to go in & have a cocktail delivered by Yaya but never got round to it due to some many friends in Icmeler to see & not really knowing anyone in Dreamboys to go & see but had heard about Yaya's talent (if thats what you want to call them).

The reason we went in this year is because of a guy called Ramzi. He used to work at Friends in the centre square. He is completely hyper & constantly full of energy. At the begining of the season he was working at Korsan. The first Friday of our holiday he left Korsan as it was too quiet for him. He was not working that weekend & came to the 3(4)Bells to help celebrate my mum's special birthday on the Saturday night. He is such a nice genuine guy. As he had come & help celebrate my mum's birthday we promised him that on his 1st night at Dreamboys we would go & have dinner there. I can not remember what I ate, but I know the cocktails I had there lovely & fair few did not appear on our bill. We returned to Dreamboys quite a few nights in May. On Friday 15th May we were in there for a few drinks & the clock passed midnight. At this point Ramzi & all the guys from Dreamboys gave me my 1st cocktail of my birthday (16.05.09) at 12:03am, which again did not appear on our bill. I know that this happens on regular basis for friends etc, but it made me feel special & i would not get service like that in my local at home.

Mum & Me are returning to Icmeler in October & would like to return to Dreamboys to see Ramzi. Unfortunately we will have to approach with caution. If we get hassel from this particular man I shall have words with Ramzi & tell him that we shall go for a drink with him once he has finished work as it would be a shame to miss out on his company due to some abusive man who obviously needs to learn some manners.

Unfortunately I can not picture the man being described so we shall approach with caution until we have figured out which one it is. In the mean time I am disgusted at his behavour but would like to keep an open mind about Deamboys as a good friend works there.

hi - I just wanted to put my views of dreamboys across, maybe I am a little biased as it is one of my favourite places in Icmeler. However this is due to never having a bad meal in there and have enjoyed many lovely cocktails. All of which I found to have had a decent amount of alochol in!
I find about 95% of the staff in Dreamboys to be very polite and will do anything for you. Esp Ramzi - as mentioned in the previous post - he is a very good friend of mine. But also many of the other lads (Baris, Veysellle, Mekin etc) in there are just as helpful and polite. Sometimes they can be a little cheeky but have never found them to be rude or agressive.

We have often been offered complimentry drinks by Yaya and they always make as feel very welcome & comfortable. Most of the entertainment is very good, especially as I am only twenty so I like the loud music/dancing etc (except Tina Turner shows/grease etc, which I can't stand. I have told this to Yaya & other staff several times and he never seems to be offended, only concerned that we aren't enjoying ourselves.)

There was one man who was working in Dreamboys in May who I wasn't particularlly fond of (older than many of the guys) and also one young lad who came across as very arrogant so I am wondering if perhaps this if one of these is the culprit? Could anyone describe him or this not allowed? I'm really curious to find out who this is?

Although its important that this man is taught some manners by his managers in order to stop driving customers away. I hope people won't be put off going to Dreamboys by this one member of staff as most of them really are lovely guys who can't do enough for you.

Everyone has their own opinion personally I have only been in Dreamboys three times and wasn't impressed with the food or service. We basically got ignored while the waiters were tending to their 'friends' but I will be going in to see Mehmet who I believe is working there this year but probably during the day instead of evening.

Have been in Dreamboys this summer, had some very good meals and very, very good evenings, had a lot of fun.
We had a very warm and nice welcom by Yahya and the other 'dreamboys'. This was our first time in Icmeler, had a very good holiday and we go back in September, also to Dreamboys.

I have never been in and guess i shouldnt criticise without trying. Whilst there in June i heard no good spoken of this place whatsoever. Attention seeking during the day with the occasional loud blast of music - not a crowd puller whilst i was there. All reports from people who had eaten there were bad!! And finally im guessing the same bloke who people are reporting as a bad un on here was harrasing my wife on a daily basis as we were staying at Devamli and had to walk past regular. All in All i wont ever visit this place whilst managed and run by people like this. Dream On Boys i say!! This could be avery nice bar and perhaps some people think so, so all of the above are just my own personal thoughts. Thanks for listening!!

This is the same reason I dont go to Valentinos (Barons) because of the hassle guy who insuled others plus myself.

Dreamboys is on my list of never entering too now after reading this report - dont the Management realise the ones who are spoiling the reputation of what could be a much better place without the hassle of this ignoramus!

From what I understand it is an English lady who owns the Dreamboys, maybe next time I see her in there I need to point in direction of the Forum so she can see what visiting English people make of her establishment & will maybe re-think her staffing choices.

Like I said before, I shall be approaching with caution in October as want to visit an old friend.

I know exactly what you are all saying, as I put in my review we had hassle off them too. We deliberately walked up the other side of the canal so we didn't have to pass them, but the times we did pass them we had a reservation at The Chef for my husband's birthday and Dennis was constantly asking where we were going and when we told him, he was very miffed. One night walking back, we passed again and he was hassling us and got quite loud and abusive, but we just kept walking, as there was as many of us, we oftern got seperated for short periods of time, then we would just stop untill everyone caught up. Unknown to us, he had cornered my mum who's 63 and started to demand why we had not eaten there this year. My mum tried to explain that it was a family decision where we ate as there are 9 of us on holiday. He told her that he was very angry with her as he thought we were all friens!

My mum was very upset and a bit frightened too. It's such a shame as we deliberately stopped going down the canal to avoid him. He's nothing more than a bully.

Exactly, our good friend Aziz was head man at Aysima last year and they got shut because he unwrapped a lolly for a young girl. The police saw his stop the family and said he was hassling, i offered to witness it but they wasnt interested. It may be because the police cant drive by Dreamboys but i certainly think they are somewhat 'overlooked' when the police are about,

I would spend a single kurush in there, he gets lippy with me and he will regret it.
