Transfer time from Dalaman.

Postby D Craddock » 20 Jul 2009 13:36

Recently on this forum, it was mentioned that the time taken to get to and from Dalaman has reduced. Can anybody confirm this. Good news if true as we arrive at the airport on the 27th July at 9.40 pm meaning we would get to Icmeler in time to perhaps a sample a couple of Effes.

depends what sort of transfer you are getting. If you are getting a private transfer and are taken straight to your accommodation I have seen the journey done in under 90 mins. Don't see how the journey could be done any quicker than that! :D

You may be talking about the coaches, but I would never do the transfer that way again after the last time

again, though, I don't know how they could cut the time of these transfers, unless they were stopping the comfort break stop, which is only 15mins :?: :?:

I think it is something to do with climate change. Dalaman has moved further down the road nearer to Icmeler.

Is there not a new section of road? I'm only asking because on our return journey to the airport, we definitely took a different route to the airport, and it was a fair bit quicker.

Yes they are improving the road, but dont think that will make any difference, they are just widening it mainly. Sometimes it seems that the more you come the quicker you get there, is that because you begin to know the route and where you are :!: :!: :!: Anyway it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as you get there in the end :D :D

Hmm...well, we definitely took a different route on the way back this year. I know I'm not dreaming - hubby noticed it too!

Dalaman transfer.

Thank you all for info. We, like most of you, do not use the drop of people everywhere system. We get our own. So much quicker.

depends if your on a package holiday or not
if you are the transfer time will be over 2 hours
as they normally have a comfort stop and take a long time to drop people off at their hotels
we just came home this morning and we always have a private transfer
it took our driver a good 90 minutes yesterday and he was driving fast
hope this helps
