Welcome to the forum Andrea.
I would say Icmeler all the way. You can always go into Marmaris by dolmus as its not too far away.

We have been going to Icmeler for many years and love it there.
There seemed to be quite a lot of bars doing karaoke last year as for hotels & apartments I am sure you would find something with ICR.
There are also videos of them on this site.

I am an older person as my children are both adults now :( but I would say that apartments are better when you have small children.
Don't worry I am sure you will get lots of advice before you go as the members on here are brilliant!

Hey Andrea, welcome to the forum!!

I'd also say Icmeler - Marmaris is quite a bit more "in your face" than Icmeler which IMHO is more suited to families with younger children
Again, I'd go for aparts on a SC basis as there are so many reasonable eateries and bars
For places with slides, Selen 2 [i think it's a hotel though], Alvaro and Eckinci are the ones that spring to mind
If you give Admin a call, they'll run through your requirements and come up with a range of places to suit

hope you get sorted - am sure others will be along soon

We normally stay in Icmeler but this year due to problems beyond our control we had to stay in Marmaris, we were not that keen on it so we spent all the time travelling into Icmeler, it will only take you about 10-15 minutes on the dolmus and if you miss one there is always another one not far behind.

Selen also has apartments with facilities shared with the Hotel. Not stayed back in the Old Village but the apartments there seem to offer better pool facilities. Probably a good idea though to check the maps on this site to get a better feel for travelling times to centre and beach.

Icmeler - I recommend you check on the Ekinci Place in Icmeler for your next holiday these Apartments seem to be what you require. Anything else you need to know contact ICR and they will give all the information and help.

I wouldn't rate Marmaris that much, but that's personal opinion. Some parts of it are just too much like Blackpool, and quite brash - that's a serious comparison if you know Blackpool, and some parts are quite ugly on the eye. Then again, there are some pretty parts of Marmaris. I like to visit there, but wouldn't really like to stay there.

Icmeler, well the part the ICR webcam is aimed at, that on it's own wouldn't sell many holidays, but a lot of it is quite stunning, especially when you get out into the residential areas and old village.

Some bars in Icmeler can be quite lively, but none really are OTT. Waterslides - well the Moonlight apartments have a nice one.

I would think the Ekinci would be good, just far enough aay from town to give you some peace but near enough to walk for some entertainment.

Great pool and slide as well
