Fraid Raki dosn't do it for us, we will stick to Efes, Vodka or Brandy. Needless to say not all together, Oh I dont know

Mmmmm...lovely with cherry juice. I usually take ice cube bags and make ice cubes with bottled water. Always have a couple before going out in the evening.

Same as Erik The Viking, had a bad session when I was about 17 on Pernod and have never touched the stuff since so unfortunately Raki turns my stomach. I like Vodka and Tonic and then on the way home call in at Wonder Boys and have a Long Island Iced Tea mmmmmmm

a couple of raki cherry go down nicely for me
I usually find it's so hot out there that my Efes gets warm and whoever's with us tends to finish it off for me

So I make it 11 likes and 4 dislikes.

When we went last year I always finished the night with a Raki and cherry, but one night I drank with the barman, one raki one water...again and again and again, I was totally mashed that night I will never do that again, well not till next year anyway. :D Talking about pernod has some people have on this thread. I remember years ago people used to say if you drank a large amount of pernod then drank some other alcahol a bit later on it would go around your body again...if that makes sense. Well after my raki binge I got up the next morning and had a pint of efes and felt totally hammered again had to go to bed  ...I lost most of that day.

I've got the T-shirt on this one. Far too much raki on top of efes, woke up with the hangover from hell, drank at least half a litre of water and ended up blootered at 11.00am.

It's OK in small doses and my preference is with ice. It's funny that I can't drink it at home but the converse is that I find that whisky (and that is some confession) tastes foul abroad.
