Carvery in Icmeler Enquiry

Postby daviemc » 10 Jul 2009 23:28

My wife was having a look at the forum yesterday and is positive she saw something about a restaurant in Icmeler that did a carvery but she cannot find the post now. Her brother is going to Icemeler for the first time on 22 July and would like to try it. Does anyone know if there is a restaurant that does this. She's been searchng the site all night and can't find the post.

Sorry not aware of any carverys in Icmeler. If you would like a nice Sunday dinner then I recomend the 3 Bells.

I don't know of any carveries either, but like Steve, I can heartily recommend the Sunday roasts at the Three Bells. The Yorkshire puddings are enormous - I'm sure there's a pic somewhere in the photo gallery section - and whether you choose the beef, lamb or chicken, the meat is beautifully tender and melts in the mouth.

As blondie says there was a picture on here of the 3 bells sunday roast but I can't find it now. I am wondering if seeing that picture led you to believe it was a carvery.

Hi
This is Davie's OH. Thanks for the replies.
I definately saw something about a carvery. The post was talking about restaurants and there was one long reply and somewhere in that it said "and it's the only restaurant in Icemeler that does a carvery". I was at work at the time so hadn't been on the wine!!

This is the only mention I can find of a carvery, but it doesn't say there is one.

Aaah found another thread which says there is a carvery, but it is from 2007.

Maybe this is the one you had seen.

Davie's OH again. Thanks for all the replies especially Reesy 1959 - you've abvoiously put a lot of effort in on my behlaf. Thanks a lot - I think the second thread you put on it possibly the one I saw. I was beginning to think I had imagined it and Davie thought I was talking rubbish (as usual)!

Well seen I had nothing much to do at work that day reading posts from two years ago.

No problem Davies OH, seems you are a bit like me, I love to trawl through the old posts when I am working, especially nightshift. Glad I have convinced Davie you are not going mad
