Can't help with the renewal side of things but ...... have you looked in the travel bags you used last time you were on holiday, you might of tucked the passport into an inside pocket of one of the bags ......... just a thought.

Hi Blondie!
This happened to me the week before my honeymoon!!!
It was Glasgow too that I had my interview etc and I got my renewal in a few days. It was such a relief, they were very sympathetic and said they'd hurry it through for me. Now, this was 13 years ago so I can only imagine systems have improved so don't lose heart.
Fingers, toes, arms, legs, everything croosed for you. Hope it all works out and you get your holiday.

we had to get a new passport at VERY short notice a couple of years ago and found the Passport Agency REALLY helpful - it was only to replace a damaged one though
expensive, but well worth it!

their Helpline staff are great too which makes a refreshing change IMHO for a govt agency

have you tried giving them a ring to see what your options are??

Hi everyone

Your messages of support and advice have been a great help and comfort to me - thank you one and all.

I have looked everywhere and it's def gone, have phoned and spoke to the help-line staff, and they were very good, but my only option is to attend the interview and then wait, hope and pray that it will arrive in time.

But, I am trying to stay positive and when I get my passport, I wll never be so careless again. But it's the fact that my driving license is gone too, makes my wonder if it's lost or stolen. But regardless, I will strive to stay positive and just keep everything crossed that it arrives in time.

So if you see me in Icmeler on the 10th with a very big drink in my hand, you'll know that I am celebrating!!

Thank you all once again for your help, you'll never know how much it means to me :D

Thank you.

Audrey xx

But yeah I will be straight on and tell you all.

Thanks :)

If you report it could have been stolen, isn't that a quicker process? as you say, it may well have been, and if it gets you another passport quicker, then all the better for you. I hope you get it sorted out, you'll definately deserve a large drink when you get to Icmeler after all the worry.

Hi everyone

After a vey long a exhausting day yesterday it looks like I am going to get my passport Saturday or tuesday :D :D

My lost passport was only two years old, so they said I could have had an early appointment and used the four hour service. The girl on the phone had not told me this. I still paid for the two hour service as if I hadn't, they could not be sure it would be here in time.

So they are posting it out today and I will have it Saturday or Tuesday!

Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I'm so happy I could have cried yesterday.

So Icmeler here I come! 6 more sleeps and we all be on our way there - all 9 of us.

Thanks again, you have all been amazing.
