Stella Show Harmony Show Bar

Postby gene » 21 Jan 2005 10:15

Posted this on the old forum but for those who missed it this is one of the best shows and bars we we went to in Icmeler.
How many people got to see this free show for all the family young and old?.
This show is a drag show consisting of song, dance and mime.
Starting at 10pm and going through till 1am (note music goes off at midnight in most bars)with just a short break.
Drinks are reasonably priced and during the evening special promotions are announced when selected drinks are at half price.
The show starts with Stella backed by the superb dancing "Harmony Boys"
doing an intro number, followed by quick fire changes into stunning outfits and wigs, this artist has a figure a lot of women would envy.
Going through a range of slapstick and comedy with audience participation with varrious sexual inuendoes but I stress is suitable for children it is not of an obtrusive nature.
The sketch of Dorothy and Toto was hilarious as is also her charactectures
of Dolly Parton,Marolyn Monroe,Tina Turner,Shirley Bassey,Cher and a superb sketch from Chicago to name but a few.
A poignant ending to the show brought the house to its feet for a standing ovation,a fitting tribute to an exceptional talent, who had just entertained us for three hours.
I am informed that this show is back for this 2005 season and we can expect a lot of surprises.
There is a place in Icmeler for quality entertainment and the
"Harmony Show Bar" certainly provides it.

Harmony Show Bar is situated at the north end of the bay near the Golmar and Mar-Bas Hotels, near the train and dolmus rank.

I agree with Gene a great night out. Certainly gives the Denis Kapisi (which is brilliant) a run for the money? Hard to know where to go of an evening as there are so many places you want to be.

It is such a fantastic show and so so funny and professional. If you dont go to see this, you dont know what you are missing. It is one of those shows where the artist mingles with  his/her  audience and you can have a right laugh with him, he is an absolute natural and has the whole audience in stitches. :D  NOT TO BE MISSED

The Stella show is same as the Talk of The Town Show in as much as it is a Drag Show were the artist mime to recordings, slapstick and humour is also involved.
The Talk of the Town has 3 artists doing the routines were as Stella is just one drag artist.
It is not a one man band because The Harmony Boys have a major part to play in the performance as also do the audience and to call the guys at the Talk of The Town as being unprofesional is being naive at the least.

Both are very good shows and put on some fantastic entertainment and are worth more than one visit while you are on holiday.

Debi,
rest easy you would not be made to feel embarrased in front of other people.
Some people do though like to be the centre of inuendoes etc and revel in the attention they get.

There are ways and means to know if someone is "Up For It"

You can watch the show without fear of being "Picked On"

Cracking night, cracking staff and cracking food!!

Saw it 3 times when we were there a couple of weeks ago and it's a scream..all I'd say is ..when Stella comes on in a purple dress with a puppet either side of him, then it's time to distract the younger kids you may have with you..send them to the beach or the loo!!!!

Can't wait to go next time I'm there - hopefully Sept fingers crossed..anyone know of any really cheap deals??

Must say was one of the best nights out we had in our recent stay in Icmeler.
We were a party of four adults and two children, we ordered food and this again was one of the best meals we had, the children portions were extremely good value, thought the drinks etc may have been over priced because of the entertainment but didn't find this at all, the staff were friendly and attentive and so would recommend this show to anyone staying in Icmeler. powdie
