Only five sleeps to go and the kids are doing my head in. Can't wait 'til Friday.
Cases are nearly done, but as usual Donna has still to go to the shops for yet more "things".
Taxi is booked so all I have to do now is work for four more days then one more sleep---yippee!!!!!
Lots of folk seem to be going this weekend so maybe the Scottish contingent will make Icmeler that wee bit busier, hope to meet up with some people to put a face to a name.
See you on Friday/Sat morning

We are going out on Thursday night, from Glasgow. (myself, wife, four kids and the in-laws) Staying at the Palm Gardens appartments, hoping to visit all the pubs mentioned on this forum. I will also be celebrating my 2nd, 21st birthday (well it sounds better than 42 doesnt it) on the 29th in Icmeler.
Maybe I'll meet a few folk from on here and you can help me celebrate.
This is our first holiday in Icmeler, went to Side last time and enjoyed it.
Im sure this will be even better.

shopping before you go!

Postby juneflo » 19 Jun 2006 22:53

Mick and Donna - you probably know about the great bargains on clothes you can get in Turkey. Donna - keep your money in your pocket - you'll get ten of what you want for the price of 1 over here. Check out the Wednesday market - much bigger range than in the shops. Also check out the market under the BellaMare hotel as well as the shops in the town centre. And a tip - buy the next size up especially on men's t-shirts just in case there's some shrinkage - especialy useful after a few beers!

Enjoy your holiday. You'll always find a geordie. Look out for Arkhan - he was at the Robin Hood in Old Village but I think he moved to the Sun (Village?) apartments last week. He's got Tetley tea and he'll even let you borrow his NUFC cup! He lived in Newcastle for a number of years and is a great conversationalist.
You'll be booking for next year as soon as you get back - I bet!
