Postby sunlovers » 11 Jun 2009 18:08

Hi
We are staying at the Efendi in 9weeks time. Just wondering if anyone can tell us what the Air Conditioning is like. Also if you can let us know what facilities are in the rooms ie; fridge etc. I know it is basic hotel, but ive heard its lovely and clean. any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi sunlovers the Efendi is a great little hotel, the air con is good and payable at reception, sorry dont know the price yet but we are going next week for 2 weeks so will up date you when we get back. There are no fridges in the rooms unfortunatly but if you want you can buy bottles of frozen water at the shop over the road.
This will be our 2nd visit to the Efendi, the staff are great I'm sure you will have a great time, the location is fantastic only 1 minute walk to the beach. Hope this helps.

Hi Sunlovers,
We stayed at the Efendi last year (3rd time) and the air con was free. You could rent a fridge but can't remember the price (£25??). When we were leaving last year they were delivering more fridges but not sure if they were being placed in each room. We will be there in 9.8 weeks (not counting really) so maybe see you then!!!

Thanks everyone for your info.
Oh and Tambos we are counting the days down until we arrive back in beautiful Icmeler. This time in exactly 9 weeks time we will be there. Cannot wait! We will be going to the weekly Vinces meet up, so it would be lovely to put some faces to names over an Efes or two.

Hi my husband and I have just returned this morning from 2 weeks at the Efendi, it was our first stay at this hotel and we liked it very much, it has been taken over this year so it had new owners and staff, who were very nice and made our stay enjoyable. There was no charge for the air con and it worked very well, it was £20 for a safe deposit box and we kept the room on till 6 o'clock (check out time was 12.00 noon) that cost 40 turkish lira, worth every penny. We used the air con a lot as the temperatures we have just had went from 32 degrees and yesterday it was 44 degrees on the beach!!! it was very very hot and humid so if I were you i's go prepared for some hot weather. The pool was good, Musafa who looks after it was a good laugh and kept the pool area immaculate. The cleaners came in everyday and kept the room nice and clean, towels were changed every 2 days. Will certainly be returning to this hotel and would recommend it without hesitation.

Hi Liz,
We too are staying at the Efendi in July.
If possible could you please give us an idea as to costs at the hotel for drinks & meals?
Also is Nuri still working at the Efendi?
Hope you had a lovely time xx

the maestro is a lovely restaurant with great food and service, if you stay at the Efendi they give you discount. I have been told though that none of the staff that have been there for the past few years are not there this year. Including Nuri. My mum is back tomorrow so I'm sure she will update us on here.

Hi Sunlovers,

Did you find out if any of the staff from the last few years are still there? We were looking forward to seeing them all again. Sergan, Mehmet, Freddy, Nuri etc........ I'm sure they won't be far away if not at the Efendi.

Cheers

Tambos......
