Agree with Fanny re cheddar cheese took this for the first time there and have to say it was gorgeous with some of the freshly baked bread mmmm

Mum always takes her tea biscuits to enjoy with her cuppa (don't seem to get them there). Oh and a sharp knife (steak knife type) to cut that bread with as a lot of places the knife isn't much use for cutting it properly.

I was thinking of taking a block of Cathedral City Cheese this time, I guess it would be okay to wrap in foil and place in the case. At least I know fussy Phill will eat that and he does love the bread too.

As I'm vegan, I always take a one of these little keep cool lunch bags and freeze my vegan butter, pop it in and tucks nicely in the case. it's just perfect by the time we get there.

I also take a selection of fruit/musli bars in case I get peckish through the night ot get fed up eating melon for my brekkie every morning.

Got one last year JBL it's actually a travel docking station so also charges the ipod and has excellent sound.

We usually go to a wee shop and buy a couple of mugs use them for the whole holiday give them a good clean then give them to the inlaws as holiday pressies........... sssssh dont tell them

I purchase the Macally Flextune Stereo Speaker & Charger for iPhone & iPod from amazon.

They are light weight with a decent sound and quite a good volume, I'm happy with them.

a cheap lilo (just bought from Asda) for £2 rather than paying tripple or quardruple on jollies.

Decent sized teaspoon - they always seem to be small ones you get in the room.

this is going to be are first time self catering we were talking what we should bring we thought bacon and sausages but would we be better getting them their then t bags cheece and mustard the rest we can get from the supermarket

Lynnjenny, i'd take your own sausages and bacon with you. The sausages are those frankfurter type and the bacon if they had any would be horendously expensive.

I've bought the mutlipacks of bacon from Asda in the past and took them with me. Defo take t bags and or coffee and small sachets sugar.

A pillow in a vacuum pack bag.

The pillows provided are always terrible & lumpy and tbh the idea of all the yukky skin cells of everyone else's heads in it gives me the jandies so i take my own.
