Boat to turunc

Postby Debs14 » 04 Jun 2009 11:48

Flying out in two weeks and just wondered how easy it is to get a boat or bus to turunc, a friend of mine has stayed in turunc and said it would be worth a visit.

Hi Debs14

You can get the water taxi easily from Icmeler and it will give you the times it leaves Icmeler for Turunc and the return times from Turunc or you could get the dolmus back if you want to be there at night, or even a taxi although not sure on cost of a taxi.

It's a lovely wee place normally visit there while in Icmeler.

The taxi boat is 7.5 lira per person return the last one from Turunc to Icmeler is 4.30pm

the bus is 5 lira each one way, we did both last week. We went to Turunc several times, one time they were advertising £20 for a taxi to turunc we bartered for one on the marmaris road and managed to get him down to £10 for 4 people.

 water taxi to turunc is fairly frequent and they will tell you what time they depart. as far as the dolmus if you have nerve tablets it is a good service to and from icemeler may be alright in the dark when you cant see the road edge. stick to the water taxi ha ha

the boat service was hourly last week

I went back bus a few times last week, but one particular day i felt a bit ill on the bus so i jumped off as it had just started moving again, After I had recovered from travel sickness we realised we were still half way up the mountain to turunc, it took us half and hour to walk down

If you go to Turunc on a Monday it is market day. Much smaller market than Icmeler, but still a nice day out.
