SAGA AIRLINES

Postby silverbeard21 » 17 Apr 2009 16:58

Saga Airlines are based in Istanbul and owned by one family.
They have been operating since 2004. They have a fleet of the following:- 2 Airbus A300.2/B4. 3 Airbus A310 - 300. 2 Boeing 737 - 400. 2 Boeing 737 - 800. As far as I can ascertain they have a clean safety & operating record.

Hope the info helps

They are chartering their fleet out to a few tour operators. Their fleet isn't the newest of fleets but from what I know seemed to be well maintained and safe. They don't offer inflight entertainment and don't provide meals but snacks and drinks are available.

Hi

I have just read info on another forum, that some flights from Dalaman for Saga Airways fram Manchester are now being operated by Viking Airways as they are lending Saga a Boeing 737 with crew to be based in Manchester dureing the season. Alot of Vikings newest aircrafts and crew used to belong to XL.

isn't Viking something to do with Kiss?? and an Excel former-director has something to do with them??

I don't care who I fly with as long as they get me there

Yes some of the big wigs from XL operate Kiss flights and the UK operations of Viking airlines. They don't own Viking Airways though as it's actually a Scandanvaian company.

We are flying with Globespan from Edinburgh on 19th july they are new to turkey this year so dont know what they are like.....any info would be great
think they are your typical budget airline with no inflight entertainment and didnt bother with meals will do snacks for flight ........

But great flight times leave Edinburgh 13.40 should be in Icmeler in time for a lovely cold EFES........on return get back in Edinburgh 23.55
if all run on time we will be happy with that :D
All got ipods for flight and im sure with a couple of cold ones the time will past quickly
