Love this forum and website

Postby Claire » 07 May 2009 09:57

Hi Everyone.

Just thought I would tell you how much I love this forum and the whole website. Not had the best last six months and logging on each day and looking at the webcam and other peoples comments brightens up my day.

I am coming in July and can't wait. I am just disappointed I didn't find out about ICR until I had booked with T***** C***. I was talking to my other half last night who said he remembered last time we came to Icmeler in August 2007 there was a wedding at our apartments - Kleopatra apartments - and he remembered the newly weds said they had done it all through ICR. Need to listen more to my hubby I think. Anyway when I come I will definately be dropping by to book some trips. Can't wait. Efes here I come.

Hi Claire, must say I totally trust ICR, having used them for hotels and transfers and never had a problem. My flight next week is with "you know who" though, purely for price at the time of booking, 15kg allowance, and very strict with it! is worrying me as I've always had 20kg allowances before. I've started to pack and have resorted to strict outfit planning for each day in order to conform, very difficult! no room for choices  and shoes?! lets not go there! thats the toughest elimination process!

ICR are picking us up at Dalaman though so no worries there :D

I hope your next 6 months are better, and with a holiday to Icmeler I'm sure it will help,

Thanks for the reply Trish

I know what you mean about shoes - I take too many on holiday, clothes too and end up wearing the same pair of flip flops and shorts all holiday. Ha.

me too! haha! bet we speak for hundreds there aswell,
But you just know you'd want to wear the pair you didn't put in the suitcase!
Next time I go to Icmeler I'll be using ICR to find a flight that allows 20kg, thats for sure, :)

Love this forum as well.
Case in local paper this week, a well known party leader paid £30 each for flights to Tenerife, at airport he was charged £870 for his baggage, so not cheap at all

Hi Trish an Claire
I know I am "only a bloke", but what is it with women-folk and shoes :?
We are in the middle of packing, and -she- has just gone "off on one", because I mentioned all the B----y shoes, and that you can buy 5 pair for a tenner in Icmeler and leave them there when coming home.
Apparently Ive said the wrong thing
Are all you lasses the same

Hi Peli

A girl can never have enough shoes especially on holiday.

Anyway I have just realised your only down the road from me. Tell her to ditch the shoes and I will hide in the suitcase and come with you. Ha. Only joking. When are you off to Icmeler? My work colleague is in Marmaris as we speak and has just text me to say she sat alongside the canal in Icmeler having a drink :)

I love this forum too, because it brings kindred spirits together, Peli, it's so good to know that I'm not alone on the shoe thing, your conversation with Mrs Peli is practically the same one I have with my OH everytime we pack and the weighing of the luggage takes place

We have, and always will, sneak whatever we can in to your mancases anything that poses a risk to paying excess baggage

I love it and even if ive had a bad day, I just log on, have a look at the webcam and join the forum and I leave with a smile on my face. 14weeks tomorrow and we can't wait. even started to get the efes in at morrisons, just to get into the mood, but it cant beat relaxing in Icmeler. :D

I think this forum is a real gem - as others have said, it's friendly, welcoming and, above all, a fantastic source of information about Icmeler and Turkey in general. No matter how obscure or strange the question, the great thing about here is that there is always someone who will have the answer!

yeah this forum is the best.
if it was not for this forum we would not have spent nearly evey day of our marmaris holiday last Oct in Icmeler.
We also had a 3 week holiday for this year booked for Hisaronu with the deposit paid, and guess what? because of this forum we have chosen to cancel and loose our deposit and have 3 weeks in Icmeler instead.
Thats how good this forum is.

Cheers ICR. :D

Have to agree with everyone, the site is the best you will find anywhere on the web, I also feel we are part of one big family and that we know each other even if we have never met in person, hopefully that will change this year and we will meet up with some of you soon. We arrive next Friday for 2 weeks, so will be going to Vinces and Havana in the hope of seeing those who are there at the same time as we are.

blimey Claire, what have you started
What can I say?? This forum and the good folk on it are such a great reflection of how fantastic Icmeler is, and I can't speak highly enough of ICR - ringing them to book your hol/enquire about a transfer is amazing, nothing is too much trouble and it's great to see that's extended to the forum

can't wait to see all you August holiday folk in person!!
