Had a look through the window last year when in Dalaman, nobody in at all - totally empty. Can't really see the point unless there were major delays.

Cheers John

Hi, we were interested in using it as last year there weren't any seats and going by the information i found you pay one price to use it and the drinks etc. are included in it, my family were interested as they think it would be better given the prices that are charged at Dalaman.

Thanks for your help :D

We had a 3 hour delay so we used it, but we did say if after useing it we wouldn't use it again unless we had major delays. The hot food was very strange vegetable rice with chicken nuggets, and it was only just warm. You couldnt get on the internet as ther was some bloke totally hogging the one computer they had, as the other was broken. Soft Drinks are good and tea and coffee but there is only so much you can drink as your going on a 4 hour flight so you don't want to peeing like a race horse all the way home do you....lol

I am going to use it this year as our flight isn't till 6.30 am  and mum and dad can sit in comfort as they are elderly, also if you can't take water through the airport the drinks will come in handy :D

I might be wrong here Colette, but I thought you just couldn't take drinks through security before you boarded the flight.

That is what was orignally thought, but from reading the info on Dalaman Aiports website the liquid restrictions also apply to the security check before check in

I don't read it like that on the airport site and here is my reasoning:-

You can still carry liquids in your check-in bags. New rules only affect hang luggage.

At the first security check it would be very difficult to police this as people can just take liquid from their luggage and put it in their hand luggage prior to checking in.

All tax-free liquids purchased at the airport duty-free shops located beyond the passport control or on board airlines is permitted:

If these liquids have been placed in a special sealed plastic bag with the receipt. If the seal on the bag has not been broken. If these liquids were purchased on the day of the flight.

The need for it to be in a sealed bag is for the next security check point, to proove that it has been purchased and not tampered with at the airport.

I may be wrong, and I am sure we will find out soon as the first people who went out last week will be returning soon.

Fingers crossed

I think the idea is that you can't take liquids through it just hasn't been very well thought out by them.

im sure you wont be able to take liquids through the first check in
they will stop people so that they can get people to buy their drinks in the airport
hopefully you will be allowed to still take the drinks through the first check in but i highly doubt it as there is no point in the security thing if they dont do it from the start
