There are some fabulous trips to do, a Jeep safari, a full day out in the countryside the boat trips, there areplenty again a full day out and both are well priced, approx £8--£10 perperson including lunch.

There are literally hundreds of bars and restaurants in Icmeler, from the lively, Venice, Harmony bar, with the hilarious Stella Show to the more laid back.

Food is Icmeler is fabulous and there are a great variety of restuarnts, Indian, Chinese, traditional Turkish, English, you are spoiked for choice. Have a look through some of the previous posts on here and you will see dome of the same restuarant names coming up again and again

July can be very hot, about 35 degrees is probably typical although some years it has been much hotter. Remember to drink plenty of water and have a high prtection sun factor cream. Hopefully the apartments you are going to will have decent air conditioning, you may have to pay for this typically around £3 per day, but its worth it

Welcome to the forum and I am looking forward to seeing how you enjoy yourself in Icmeler. Its a great place to go to for your first time to Turkey and if you are anything like the rest of us, you will love it.

I agree with the trips smc has recommended and I would also say to have a Turkish bath, these are so relaxing and you feel great afterwards. If you like to get a suntan though, have your Turkish bath in the first couple of days as some of your tan could get washed away.

July and August is probably the warmest months in Turkey, but most places will be air conditioned, so as long as you dont want to go walking for miles, you should be okay.

Have a great trip.

I shouldnt worry bout the heat to much. I get flustered in the heat to, but don't find it to much of a problem, if you get to hot and you are lounging round the pool or on the beach then just put an umbrella up for some shade, wear a hat when walking about, I dont usually find a night time to bad and can sleep no problem. I actually advise if you have a choice of air con or renting a fan from reception I would rent a fan. We found it much better than the air con as you can move it from room to room if you are in an apartment where with air con its usually only in one room.

You will love Icmeler and I advise you try the following restraunts Loveboat, Wayside, waterfall of couse everyone has there favourite but they are mine. But you will be hard oushed to find a bad meal in Icmeler as I have never had one and I am fussy about what and where I eat.

Hope you enjoy your time there.

Hi welcome to the forum, good choice for holiday :D , as everybody has said so far, lots of trips and things to see, for me the thing that struck me most on my first visit was the friendliness and warmth of the people in Turkey, and funny! they have a fun sense of humour that seems to be natural in most of them., and the customer service is fantastic everywhere you go.

July is hot, very hot, but as long as you're not planning to be too sporty, you're fine, as others have said, be aware and keep in the shade at hottest times of the day , use plenty of high factor suncream, cool off in the pool or the sea, and enjoy :D

Oh how I wish I was there now, feeling hot enough to jump in the pool to cool off! I'm going in May, nice temperature then too, :D
Have a great holiday.

Yes it is hot in July but as recommended just be carefull in the sun and you will be ok. We are also in Icmeler in July , 2 adults , 2 teenagers.
This will be our third time in Icmeler and its that good we are bringing out some relations for a week while we are there. All food is great in Icmeler but one of our favourites is the Florida next to the canal. Best bars are Havana, Friends, Linakers to name but a few. Best trip is the jeep safari. fantastic fun day out. ICR are always there to advise and make your holiday one to remember
