Onur have changed our flight time, it was leaving manchetser at 7.15am but now it's leaving at 10am- up to now that is! Onur did this to us last year, had about 4 time changes in total. What annoys me is the fact it cost us more to fly out at 7.15am and they won't refund you the difference.

I hadnt even posted on here about going to Icmeler as its a surprise for my hubby as its his 60th on 21 June.I even phoned his firm and booked him a week off. We are going to northern Cyprus in August as that is what he wanted as his treat. But I found a real cheapy thru that notorious firm that sounds like a precious metal and then someting that rhymes with pail.....They use Onur and I booked for 14 June flying from Gatwick 22.oo and returning 21 juneleaving Dalaman 17.oo.Because of this post I looked on the aegean website and the flight doesnt exist....sure it must have when I booked in february.Isnt on the tour operator website anymore so I phoned them. They dont know but think its ok....yeah right!I e mailed them as the same thing happened last october and I had to cancel because we both work and cant change stuff that much.E mail came back saying they would find out in a couple of weeks and let us know. 56 days springs to mind....no compo if they let you know within and we've paid the balance so theyve got our dosh. I have looked and seen that they are doing flights fri night which we couldnt do and monday night which we couldnt....but are doing Bristol sat night and altho its a treck we could do that if they offer.Cant do anything til they inform us....keeping fingers crossed and struggling to keep my mouth shut so he doesnt find out!Wish me luck!

Just been notified of our third flight time change, this is getting ridiculous. We were originally going at 10.00am which was the whole reason of booking that particular flight as we are fed up of night flights. Lo and behold 2 months ago the flight was changed to 21.10 and today the notification came that it is now 23.10, a total of 13hrs 10 mins difference. To qualify for compensation it has to be more than 12 hours difference and more than 60 days til departure. Guess what, our departure is in 64 DAYS time!!! More than a coincidence if you ask me, but they have you by the short and curlies as we so desparately want to go to Icmeler.

So dont you get compensation because you ARE more than 12 hours and you ARE more than 60 days?

Oooops, you spotted the deliberate mistake in my post Mary, if its LESS THAN 60 days till departure then compensation payable. Just as well you're here to keep me right! x

I wish Onur Air would cancel my flight and then I could get my money back as I have been unable to sell my tickets for july :(
I keep checking, but no such luck, infact the flight time hasn't even changed from when we booked it last year

Theresa, that sounds like the same flight we were booked on for 11th June and I emailed Aegean last night and complained. I've just had a lovely email from Aegean offering me an alternative flight, its at 07.35 but from Glasgow. I'm going to take them up on the offer as its going to save us more than a days holiday and I can still keep the return flight into Edinburgh. Can't ask for much more than that I suppose.

Hi Dotty,
Thats good that you were able to do that. We will not be able to do that as there are 9 of us going and 2 of which are kids who booked after we did and through a different agent.

Thats a pity Theresa cos a day flight would be much better for the kids. The positive thing is you're still going to Icmeler!
PS I see you're from my home town

Hi Garry, the chances of changes is high I would think. What I don't understand is that the return flight still lands at 8.10pm but the outgoing flight isn't going till 11.10pm, its usually only an hour turnaround time. I suspect they will change the one coming back.

Hi All
In regard to Onur Flight times,.

Is It Onur!!!,

Who have you actually booked with ???

OR is it the "booking agents" who are takeing the p---s !!.

It seems to be that most of the problems are coming from the regional airports, and I find it hard to believe that Onur are wholy responsable.
We, must be lucky, by being able to use this particular flight, Onur 279/380 Friday morning about 11.o-clockish [still 20 kg allowance] from Manchester. We have used this flight about a dozen times so far, and booked it for 3 times this year, all be it through differant agents, as I go for this particular flight and time. We have found this flight to be very reliable, and for the last few years it has "never altered" big style.
We have just recieved our tickets yesterday, Wed 8th April, for our flight on, Fri 8th May [On Time So Far]. Four weeks in advance!!.
One of the rare times we have something to thank the tourist industry for, [gives us hopefully! peace of mind]

Getting back to what I think, it seems to be that the big guys/moneymen rule, as this particular flight is "toys4us" dominated and goes out as regular as clockwork on the time above.
I feel I have to mention this. As to be honest, I think that Onur are getting, slagged off, for something that is possably not under their control.
We booked via an independant on the net in Sept last year for this flight, and looking at the paperwork, it has gone through 3 seperate agents, who at the time were all charging more than we originally paid, including h4u who have the flight in their control by the look of it.

There are a lot of people out there who are getting mucked about, but I wonder who,s fault it realy boils down to.
As Onur are only the owners of the airline, which they hire/charter out.
In fact I keep trying to find a way to book with Onur direct, but they dont seem to want to know, apart from domestic, they just seem to put their international flights out to the bucket shops, etc.

Peli

Its got absolutely nothing to do with Onur.

All and I mean ALL flight companies have had big changes because the airports have just given them their slot times and then as flights get added or taken away they are changed by the AIRPORT

So please before everyone goes slagging off an airline please think that you may be giving them a bad name when they have done nothing wrong
