Q re visas

Postby twizzle » 31 Mar 2009 18:15

I've got a current Turkish visa in my passport dated 23 February (I went to Istanbul and very nice it was too, apart from the foul weather) and I'm wondering if this visa will cover me for my next trip to Turkey (Icmeler or Marmaris) from the 14th May until the 28th May or will I have to buy another one?

I know that my entry date is within the 90 days specified on the visa but my exit date falls just outside of that.

Any help from admin or from anyone else who's in the know would be greatly appreciated.

Ta :)

Sorry, but you will need to get a new visa on arrival. Dont chance it. It can be very expensive if you get caught.

you would need to have a multiple entry visa in order to use your visa again so silverbeard21 is correct. You need to purchase a new one at enrty. rami

Dont quite understand Rami (thick I know). In the past we have entered twice in the course of three months and had two entry and two exit stamps on the same visa. We have always understood, and have made sure, that you exit the country within the 90 days, as from the date of the original entry. In the passport this says multiple entry visa and is the one we have always been issued.

As far as I know, if you have a multiple enrty visa for a country for 90 day period, then you can exit and enter that given country anytime with in the 90 day frame. So this is basically what I meant. If you are not given a multiple enrty visa, then you obviously enter and exit with in the visa period.

The original posts states entry on 23 Feb. Given that it is multiple entry visa for 90 days, this visa would expire on 23 May. The departure date being 28th may, twizzle's visa woud expire almost a week before departure so must purchase a new on on entry in order to avoid any trouble. Someone correct me if I am wrong:))

Rami is correct Silverfox, I too have entered twice on the same visa, but my return date on the second visit was within the 90 day allowance.
