Does anyone know if the train is still riding round the resort, last year it was not there in June unless it was too early in the season

I thought I spotted it earlier but it was dragging a trailer behind it so still a little quiet for it yet.

Probably not retired as I am not that lucky.

I hate that whistle all day long and you can hear it all the way from the village to the town

Yes, I was told it had to go, as it was causing a few problems with the local taxi's, also tourists complained that it was full before it arrived at their hotel (ones at the back of the village).

Shame, it added character to the place, there were other reasons also, but I cant remember them

Hey all,

I have just come back from Icmeler, and while I was there I asked about the Train and was told that at some point last year there was an accident and someone got run over by the train so the council stopped it from working. They are not sure if there are any plans for a new one.

But while there I did see the front of the old green train being used a tractor to pull something along towards the old village so the front bit is still in use, just not as a train as some of us loved it.

Take Care, love Zeynep
