wedding blessing

Postby sjgarbett » 24 Feb 2009 14:55

hi all
weve hit a snag and was wondering if anyone on forum could help us.
we are getting married in uk on the 05/08 this year and had arranged a wedding blessing at marmaris christian centre, on the 9th august,
unfortunately the pastor has for some reason now left and we are struggling to make contact with the christian fellowship on the e mail address given on there website and we were wondering if anyone has had any contact with them and could pass on there contact details to us and/or the contact details of anyone else in the local area that might have contacts with any christian societies.

thanks ade and jo

Hi the forum has contacted me on a wedding blessing as we had ours blessed last year. What we did was get a poem of the web site and arrange it in a card and asked the skipper of a boat trip we always go on who are friends of ours to repeat what was on the card on the boat in middle of sea we actually got our rings in Turkey and exchanged our rings when we had blessing it was lovely as they dressed yhe boat up with lots of flowers and made it really special

That sounds lovely, Karen - it'll be our silver wedding anniversary when we're in Icmeler in June, and I was toying with the idea of us renewing our vows while we're there. That sounds like a fantastic idea which we could probably adapt to suit.

Hi blondie there are many poems that have different meanings for different occations i had three or four i couldnt choose from as they were all nice and you can put in something of your own that means something to you both something special. I hope you do that you will have a lovely time planning it also its something different. Let me know if you do and how it goes. By the way it was Ali Mell and Volkan that sorted it for us at Bullshits :D
