If you do get to the market early and are the stallholders first customer,
you will be suprised to see that when you hand over your £5 or £10,he will wipe it across his face a couple of times then throw it on the floor then bend down and pick it up. :shock:
It is a sign of good fortune and luck for the day.

If you are like Colette and dont surface till 10am this is a little ritual you will never see. :lol:

I think i'm going to give the market a miss this time, as I find the little shops just as cheap, and the people a bit friendlier...two and a half weeks left!!. yipee!!

I agree Karen I find the Canal area just as good if not better than the market, and like you say friendlier, and nearer to the bars for a Efes :lol:

I Love Icmeler Market , but i also go to Turunc Market as well, it is smaller and quicker to get round

Got to say me & the mrs prefer the little shops & stalls down by the canal almost as cheap anyway But hey if you like markets why not go its a good experience also funny my advice would be to go early in the morning tea towels& bath towels are a great buy HAVE FUN :lol:

Sue thanks for that, I m not fussed on Icmeler market, like mama I buy from the canal, I am taking a boat to Turunc for an hour or so, so a Monday will be my day
