Sorry
I am a wagon driver

Back on topic [a bit] I wonder for Blondies special "Treat" You can organise a morning mini-bus "Breakfast trip", for them and a few of their friends :), if they are interested.
The idea might take off

silver wedding

hi we have been to the Marti Resort 4 times, the food is okay, if a bit boring, there was a problem a few years back with smoke from the grill area coming into the dining area but that seems to have been sorted, the pools are great and there is never a problem getting a sun bed, the animation team do come around but if you are not interested they don't pester you, as with many other AI places though, there are alot of Russians, who like their food! is it the Marti la Perla you are thinking of..personally Dubai is a beautiful place to go to for a special occasion, we went for my 40th a few years ago..one word..unbelievable..jacqui x

PS - its 2 years in October till our 25th we are planning on a round the world trip...

blondie
theres lots of reviews on hoilday truths, i wouldnt go AI to icemeler as theres too many nice places to eat, and if i had the AI option i be tied to the hotel
i was on the beach and watched the beds for a couple who where AI not sure which hotel they where going back to the hotel to eat lunch, they came back to say chicken again and its mostly chicken and we dont really like chicken
I was thinking why did you go back for lunch then then again if you have paid upfront ect
i took my mum and dad to devamli to celebrate there golden wedding while not the biggest of hotels i like the small but freindly option
a few drunken guest could ruin a hoilday and if a bar aint free all day you might not come across this

Thanks, I've been checking out some of the AI reviews and to be honest, I'd be more than happy just to do what we normally do - book either an apartment or smaller hotel (B&B) and then enjoy eating out at some of our favourite haunts and others we haven't tried yet.
It's really my other half who fancies trying one of the more upmarket hotels - he and son had a wander round a couple of them last October and quite liked what they saw. I'm undecided still - never really hankered after AI to be honest, but maybe we'll give it a go. One way or another, I'll just be happy to be spending my special occasion in my favourite place - Icmeler!

Well, I'm back again to pick your brains - slight change of plans now. We're now thinking that, rather than go AI, we might plump for an apartment so we can enjoy eating out at all our Icmeler favourites as well as some of the ones which we haven't tried yet.
Any suggestions as to really nice apartment, preferably reasonably central which would be suitable? Thanks in advance!

Now that does sound like a plan Blondie !!

What about the Iguana which get great reviews and are in the main square

As for making your holiday special (and with all of the money you'll save by not going AI), why not contact ICR and arrange an itinery for your hol - breakfast by the river, Cleopatra beach, candlelight meal for 2 at a lovely restaurant or maybe even a romantic evening/night in Turunc which is quieter than Icmeler
Am sure they would come up with a really special package for you!!

what do you think?

Thanks Fanny - actually, I've been looking at the Iguana apts on the ICR website and think that might be a good idea. I'd like to do some trips this time too - we've never really explored the more "off the beaten track" places outside Icmeler. I feel a plan coming on....:)
