Miami Restaurant

Postby ellie123 » 27 Dec 2008 10:25

If you are looking for a meal or drink in a tranquil location, we can highly recommend the Miami. Located in the Old Village the owner Onbasi (aka Manuel from Fawlty Towers) is always keen to please. Whether you are stopping for a refreshing drink on a long walk to the Old Village, having a lunch, evening meal or even a birthday party he will pull out all the stops. The Miami is open all year round and is a peaceful haven when you want a rest from the hustle, bustle and noise of Icmeler's main centre.

Hi Peli, we have been following Onbasi around the Village since the early 90's. Here is a photo of Onbasi with our daughter Devan which was taken at his original restaurant on the main road on the opposite side to Tansas, think is was about 1994.

Hi Ellie
Lovely pic of them both, what stands out is the love and happiness in both their eyes, he has put some wieght on since then !!
We really should get in there more but tend to head down town in summer on the dolmus due to us being further up the valley,or we use Tommys[another great guy] if we are walking and then get the dolmus
It makes me think as Ive got involved with the forum Ive thought some of us must have sat next to each other or said hello without knowing it.

We have known Onbasi for many years and always spend a lot of time relaxing there when it is too hot to go to the beach.
He gave us his email address when we went in September but unfortunatley I have lost it.
If anyone has it could they please pm me with it?
