finally lost the plot

Postby MUSTAPHABUN » 17 May 2006 23:50

hi, fly out with the family on 5th of june.got the cases out at the weekend, and asked my better half if she required a slave to fetch and carry.(i know my place)after being dismissed with a thick ear i settled down to watch the cup final.at half time i rushed upstairs with tea and biscuits, and in an unguarded moment i suggested that i could do with a new pair of blue shorts.i came home from work tonight to find six new pairs of shorts and nine new teeshirts laid out on the bed.not one of them blue.panic stricken i enquired of my traditional summer clobber some of which has more airmiles than most pilots.i am not going with a tramp this year i was informed.i just thought i was comfortable.so say hello when you see me, you cant miss me apparently, i now match. :? i blame the lack of sunshine.

David what does a man do with 6 pairs of shorts and 9 Tee shirts.?
Why dont the women listen to us.
We know what we want and in what colour.
Not for us walking round the shops dithering, thinking should I shouldnt I buy it.
Two pairs of shorts, one for daytime one for night time and 4 t shirts is all we will need for two weeks.
You need to get the wear out of your clothes and the opposite sex cannot understand this, having a bikini for every day and a new frock on every night.
They always moan when we inform them that the cases are over weight but to make the case lighter we must take out one of our T shirts.

We will recgnise each other in Icmeler because we will be the two smelly scruffy devils whose wifes walk 10 yards in front of us making out they dont know us.

Looking foreword to seeing you in blue, I bet blue suits you

The thing is boys you need plenty tee shirts and shorts because it saves us having to wash them when they get grubby. We're on our holidays you know.

Its not like me to point the finger and take the mickey Lynn but you girls make it so easy for us.
We men never throw anything away this is the point David is making.
We wear our clothes for ever, we form an attachment with our vests and underpants and would not discard them for anything.
It is only women with grandeur ideas of Hygiene that makes us men change our socks every week.

We do not buy T shirts in Turkey because we like our T shirts fitted.
Fitting snuggly to our chest and shoulders and narrow at the hip and waist.
Not those you buy in Turkey that make us men look fat.

Have a nice holiday Lynn.

Cruel and hurtfull words Lynn
It could be David, especialy if the person is in Tatty Blue.

I notice the operative word is "Maybe" buy you an Efes, this is just what I meen be possative thinking, and use the word "Will" buy you an Efes.

In anticipation of free beer for David and myselfe holders of,

ladies and gents, the saga continues! i am now the proud owner of a traveling outfit. i will now be stunning in navy when i arrive and when i leave. at least it,s blue. i also agree with gene sometimes the five for a tenner teeshirts just dont sit as well as a shirt you have grown up with and feel confident in.shorts are also something not to be thought of lightly, they have to be rumpled and comfortable. with pockets short enough to be able to buy the essentials efes, kebab, trips, sunbeds, and efes, and long enough to shy away from the non essentials(any form of shopping) next episode soon. and i still blame the lack of sunshine.

Molly

I've always been a sucker and easily taken in, but I think Gene deserves an Effes as he keeps me amused with his posts during the dull winter months.

David (The Best Dressed Man)
I've enjoyed your ones as well have a great holiday folks

My hubby sends me bonkers with the amount of stuff he always takes on holiday. He insists on taking a shirt for every day and another for every evening, plus a few spares (just in case). These, along with all his shorts, underwear etc leaves very little room for my few clothes. Then when we get there, he'll buy loads of new shirts which he has to wear while he's there. Grrr!!!

I have the same problem with my hubby Mary. Buys new gear for going in case he doesn't see anything he likes in Turkey (as if) and they say us women like to shop. Dave - what does this travelling outfit consist of? I think we should be told. :)

HOLIDAY CLOTHING

Postby Zeynep1985 » 20 May 2006 10:42

Dave,

Myself and my mum wish to see your travelling outfit so we can make sure our other halves are up to scratch when we go in just under 2 weeks. We would not want them to be letting the side down, would we!!!!! So we feel that it is your duty to post a picture quickly so we can drag them around the shops to find a perfect outfit for them!!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing the picture.

Love from Zeyenp & Kelebeck x x x :P

Dave I am sat here green with envy imagining you catching the plane in your new sailor suit.
You will turn heads and draw admiring glances from all the ladies.

I use to travel in my shell suit, but now just wear these drab black trainers bottoms and crisp new fitting T shirt bought in England.

I think you may be changing the way we men think about our travel atire.

hi folks, sorry i have missed the last few days.(overtime for efes ) there is a few points i have to reply to.you have to understand that when gene and i owned shellsuits we were at the forefront of haute coteure.when the fire took it from me(misses burned it) i was devistated, i still miss the rustle of nylon on my holiday.my NEW traveling outfit is being kept from me in case i give it a trial run to break it in for the journey.all i know is its navy blue, because that disguises ,any stains that they guarantee i will get.! cunning those women!.the other thing is a photo ,this cant happen for two reasons. number 1/ i am a moron, who is as technically gifted as an elephant is dainty.and number2/ my old brownie dos,nt have a wide enough lens for panoramic.13 days to go cant wait.
