We loved the food at Liberty, on the beach front near to the stella show. There's a jetty which goes right out into the water, which you can sit and eat on. The food was out of this world and massive portions too!

Also enjoy the food at Alins, near the red lion and tansas. Really good, cheap food!

Loveboat and the Harmony Bar (but not because of the Stella Show).

Wayside - best by far for me. A little more expensive but certainly worth it.

Florida for breakfasts though... :-)

Bamboo is my favourite restaurant. Good food and nice relaxing music while your eating. You can hear yourself talking, not boom boom boom.

Location is fab

It really is all degrees of good, better and best and in three years of trying various restaurants we have never really found a favourite. Our two best this year were the Melissa and Venice closely followed by Del Boy's up the valley on the canal opposite the Adler apartments. The food was delicious and the meals and drinks came to almost half of what we were paying in the town centre.

I'm sorry to say that Mrs weetoony took a major grue to the Love Boat and I don't blame her. She ordered a well done fillet steak with trimmings and it came cooked less than medium and with two slices of cucumber and two slices of carrot as garnish :!: My meal was fine but I had to eat it through her mumps and moans. Needless to say, she did not complain but she refused to return and returned my tip to her sporran :D

we also ate and were impressed with the waterfaLL, and dreamboys.....( well, the teenagers were impressed with dreamboys :D )

the breakfasts at SET restaurant were lovely too, although quite expensive for an evening meal

Best restaurant has to be ....

The Selam restaurant! Run by Turgay & Sibil.

This isn't one of your wide-screen, glitzy, average food places, this is a REAL restaurant where the food is all individually hand-prepared to order.

We've visited Icmeler many times over the piece, we always had problems deciding where to eat. Quite frankly, I found that some of the popular restaurants are no more than fast food outlets, specialising in fish-and-chips and roast beef & yorkshire pud!

The Selam is different.

We discovered it through recommendation from a friend. In 2007 we were in Icmeler twice and ate there 16 times, in 2008 we again holidayed twice and ate at the Selam almost all the time!

It's a small restaurant located in a side street about 5 minutes from the Tansas.

We have many favourites which we tend to eat at once or twice during the holiday, but the new find for us this year was the Kingsland Chinese.

Twice we ate the set meal for 2 which cost 45 lira. That included soup for starters, followed by chinese salad and spring rolls, the third course was rice with chicken, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce. Bottle of wine.

The second time we ate there, we swapped the soup and chinese salad for some spare ribs which we had as a starter with the spring rolls. This also includes a bottle of wine.

Cant complain at £10 per head and you are not rushed between courses. Yilmaz was the guy who looked after us there and what a perfect Gentleman he is. Will definitely be back to visit next year.
